The room and bathroom are spacious and clean with lovely little touches and amenities, aircon/heating, and a little porch with Adirondack chairs and a small table. The garden area is lovely, as is the observation deck, so whether you want to chill on your own or be sociable with others, the setting is just delightful. Jude and Bryan are two of the kindest most helpful hosts I’ve encountered in my travels. I’d had a rough go with travel plans prior to my arrival and, before even showing me to my room, Jude was instantly that friend that says “I got you” and provided lots of guidance on alternative plans and helped me get things sorted out. Both Jude and Bryan are a fountain of information on things to do in the area surrounding Prince Albert and how to successfully navigate the area as a tourist.

Everything. Upon arrival we were offered a just newly renovated room. The room was great, there was such eye for detail. Everything we needed was available. It was spacious and spotless. We had a verdana from which we were able to walk straight into the garden. The secure parking was also very convenient and close to the room. The guest house is conveniently located with different restaurants just next door.

The meal at Prince Albert Cafe was delicious - a delightful little fine dining gem. Our stay at Prince Albert Country Stay exceeded expectations - friendly staff and very warm and welcoming owner.

    Prince Albert is a must visit. It’s a quaint little town offering loads of charm and character. Surrounded by gorgeous mountain ranges and charming restaurants serving home made deliciousness from yummy pizzas to scrumptious burgers and don’t get me started on the home baked goodies. Add this to your visit. Won’t disappoint

    Well positioned. We walked everywhere, good restaurants, art galleries, interesting curio and clothing shops. Free range and organic Dairy and Butchery The hikes are worthwhile, just be well prepared.

    We attended the first GAMKA KLASSIEK 2025 festival - it was...

    We attended the first GAMKA KLASSIEK 2025 festival - it was very well organised and the venues were great & festive. We had time to visit Guy's dairy and taste and buy some cheese and other products. We ate at different restaurants; pleasant experience. Only warning: please do NOT enter the town via the Swartberg Mountain pass. It is in a very, very bad state.

    Beautiful lodging - if you love history - this place was built in the 1800’s and was restored beautifully - keeping parts of history to showcase, please read the info in the booklet- the interior is tasteful and gorgeous! The attention to detail impeccable. All walking distance to the main road and the Swartberg Hotel. The reception was warm and welcoming - we will be back for sure!
