We stayed at Hippo Hollow the night after our safari tour. We were very happy with the place. The atmosphere was quiet and nice. We liked the look of the buildings with palm trees around and appreciated the beautiful restaurant with the view over the lake. Unfortunately we haven't seen the hippos but saw elephants during breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with the best croissants ever!

Small but very clean and functional room. The parking is right in front of the room. We only stayed for a night and left very early for Kruger National Park which is less than 10 minutes away.

The theme of the hotel was like a small western USA town and was just darling. Breakfast was very good and the staff provided excellent service. We had a massage at the spa on property which was excellent and a great value.
