South AfricaA Gem off the main highway. We were greeted by Alfie (the tame goat) and then Amanda (the hostess) who was absolutely wonderful. A true Country Guest House. Chickens (beautiful, true free-range, fresh eggs for breakfast), ducks, donkeys, alpacas, dogs and of course Alfie made up the menagerie. The dinner was delicious and the breakfast, what with those beautiful eggs, was excellent. The room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and had the beautiful high pressed steel ceilings from a bygone age. Definitely a must.

It is a quiet location and away from the national road. It was a cold night and the under-carpet heating and electric blanket ensured we were most comfortable. Plenty of hot water for a good shower. The place is situated in peace and quiet surroundings with the mountain right in front of us. Dee Dee was so friendly and helpful. We walked around in her little garden which is beautiful and just to be there to take a deep breath of true fresh air, not like in the normal busy cities.
