YOSEMITE

Good group, I have all the itinerary assembled but I have a problem, I just read that Highway 120, tiago pass is closed until June? We'll be around May 21 and we'll come from San Francisoco, we want to pass through Yosemite and then go to Death Valley, but if it's closed, can you tell me someone who knows and this is it, will it be closed?

From my knowledge it all just depends on if the snow has melted or not. We went last year in late April and they had a late winter. They said they were hoping that they half done hike would be ready by memorial wknd but they highly doubted it. I would think the roads were clear by then but when we were there in April a lot of them were still closed. Sorry this doesn’t give a lot of clarity but from my knowledge it’s weather dependent. On the plus side it’s a GORGEOUS park!

Had the same problem on a trip once. I would recommend CA-108 across Sonora Pass, onto 395. The view of Mono Lake is amazing. Run 395 to Olancha, and get on 190. Enjoy your trip.
