Refunds

Does anyone know how long it takes to get refunded after canceling? I have called the resort and was told they have not received any money for my booking, yet. That I need to talk to https://Booking.com for a refund. After calling them, they are only handling emergency situations right now.

Having the same issues....today was told that they would allow rebooking to give them a date. How can anyone give a date right now. We do not know when we will be able to travel....have time off after this mandatory time off. And much more. They are telling me it is not refundable as it was a non cancel reservation. WELL....I would not have to cancel if this had not happened. The conference is cancelled, Disney World is closed and we are told by our Governor in Washington to satay home and not go out. This is uncharted territory and uncomfortable for us all. Understanding to that is why travel companies are getting funds to handle the situation. They need to take care of customers too.

and YES …..no flights to get there....they at least canceled and refunded. I too ask for a credit and a year to reuse it. They will not even respond to that. So I too think I will go to my Credit Card Company and go that way too.

https://Booking.Com should apply sever pressure on USA hotels to change some hotels cancellation policies as a result of Covid-19. These hotels are are a disgrace to the USA and have total contempt to their customers,.

I agree too ...no way we can honour our booking with covid 19 as it is ! It's not our fault ...so give us a refund or let us book another date ! We shouldnt be out of pocket through this mess! Especially with flight cancellations and bans in place

Nobody takes care of the situation of those we hire through this platform. I understand my reservation is non-refundable, but in normal situations. not to the one we are not allowed to leave or enter our countries and that if we do, we risk our lives. It is an exceptional situation, we should at least offer the change of reserve, as they say in USA credit. We must denounce these situations so that the world knows or knows, at least, how they behave in these extreme situations.

Last year I had a situation where they took the WHOLE amount after stating on the sight that u don’t pay until at property; got the run around a few times-was unable to keep our travel plans because they tied up ALL of our travel money and after 7-14 BUSINESS days it was returned.....very sad cuz we didn’t go anywhere because of that! I am SORRY to see so many having troubles-it should NOT be this way!!!

I called the 1800 number in my cancellation email. The lady I spoke with told me it takes 7-10 days to process your refunds. She was nice enough to manually process it for me while I was on the phone.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to travel to the USA due to Covid-19 by being involved with the NHS and fighting this terrible virus at home in the UK.
I have refused to accept a credit for future stays offered by Studio 1 Daytona Beach Motel Florida, because of the establishments immoral stance on cancellation policy and their refusal to revise it due to Covid-19.
Therefore on reflection and work stress levels I, have asked https://Booking.Com to donate my total refund of to the British NHS?
However, I do think https://Booking.Com, during these unprecedented times should encourage establishments to refund without penalty to all customers. If not customers should name and shame the hotels that do not change.
Today our UK Prime Minister and Health secretary have contracted Covid-19, tomorrow it could be the USA President, who believes the crisis will be over by Easter.
Good luck America!!

I agree its shocking https://booking.com should put a statement out that all bookings upto say June can be cancelled via app wether we have a cancellation policy or not
These are unprecedented times !
