Travelling from Narita International Airport to Tokyo

Hi
I have been advised by hotel that the closest and cheapest transportation to our hotel is the Kesei bus from Narita to outside Tokyo Station. Has anyone done this trip? I am unable to prebook tickets from airport to Tokyo only the other way around. Is the outward bound trip unable to be booked in advance?
Thanks
Melanie

We just had the same situation a few weeks ago. We didn’t book anything and were able to purchase tickets when we arrived. It was a short wait and about $10 U.S. per person to go to Tokyo Station. Their counter was to the left of the much larger bus counter that was about $30 per person. We then took a short taxi ride to our hotel. It was easier than I thought it would be. Just make sure to bring cash to exchange money when you get there, the rate was decent but they only accepted cash.
