I have the same doubt, I guess the tax is not going as we stayed in Argentina, which is why I did not go abroad.

Hi, on 27/12/19 I bought a birth ticket, and on the credit card the amount came in dollars. That amount I have to do for $82 that would be the tourist dollar, right? Thank you.

Yeah, that's right. The card summary should discriminate against 30% of the PAIS tax. On the other hand, if you pay the balance in dollars (bills or bank account), you shouldn't have to pay 30%. It's all very green yet. Greetings!

Hello! I rented a house on the coast and I am informed that I have to pay the exchange price of the BLUE dollar on the day the payment takes place. This is right???

In my opinion that's not good given that you're paying for a service in Argentina in cash. In other posts I have read that the properties take the official's quote ($63). In any case, 30% tax is for the state, not for the one who rents.

Thanks Ernesto, I don't know what to do now, I'm not expecting this.

You shouldn't pay the price of the dollar Blue. What happens is that when booking for booking the price is in dollars and even if they do not charge it on the card, you will get the PAIS tax. But I understand that if you cancel the whole in Argentinian pesos they don't have to charge you anything else, the price is official dollar, at least for the accommodation

Hey, Mabel, that's a houseboy from the owner. No transaction can be charged in dollar blue, everything must be in sales quotation from Banco Nación (today AR$63). Good luck with that!

If I book an accommodation for July in the country today, where I can only charge reservation. What dollar do you pay, the booking or the card closing? Includes country tax? If the housing fee is paid in pesos

Argentina

If you book and you don't pay, the dollar will be charged the moment your card owes you. That's if they're charging you to the sales value of the nation bank.

If it's inside the country, they'll make you convert to Argentine pesos WITHOUT 30% and bill you in pesos on the card. That way you pay what's right. If they bill you in dollars, they're gonna charge you 30%. I just got back from Chile. I asked for the dollar conversion of the tariff to Chilean pesos and I paid it in cash. So I didn't pay 30%

The prices on the page are the posts by the owners of the houses, apartments or hotel administrations and the forms of payment should be made in the local currency so that in Argentina they do not take the PAIS tax as it is due directly from banking transactions, in the case of bringing dollars it is paid at the exchange house or directly into the bank's due account. If the owner wants to apply a tax, it can only be VAT (hotel or real estate case) or taxes from his own country (e.g. Chile pays a 19% VAT tax) at the time of paying in DOLARES, it is taken if or if the value of the reservation, so if there is another value at the time of payment they should inform the Booking page so that they can eliminate that customer or put a low rating to help other travellers.

I am going to complain to booking because I had booked a property days earlier and it had been charged. The owner cancelled the rent and booking paid me back. I mean. I lost because of the guy who rented. I'll complain that booking takes over

In some cases Booking shows you the value in pesos and in others in dollars. I just came from the north of two hotels that the reservation was in dollars, but they charged me at the normal price of 63 pesos. They don't have to fuck you 30 per cent. Here it is paid in pesos and that value in dollars is only to establish a quotation. If they ask you for the equivalent of $100, you must pay 6300 pesos at today's value.

Hi, if I book an accommodation abroad but pay it at the property and in cash, they charge me just for making the reservation with the card or paying the total amount shown by booking. I interpret that I should not be charged anything just the amount agreed with booking and local taxes if there was any. Thank you.
