What’s the best beach?

I’m looking to plan a vacation for the end of July and looking for recommendations for places to go. I want to vacation somewhere with a beach. I just recently got back from Florida went to Daytona and Clearwater and I’ve been to Virginia Beach looking for something new. What beaches do you guys like?

I recommend rehoboth beach delaware. Great area nice restraunts and great shopping small locally owned shops in town of rehoboth . Just outside of town on route 1 there are the outlets and don't forget delaware is a tax free shopping . There plenty of parks and other activities,to do in the area. I think k you'll find this to be a great getaway destination.

Summer? Bermuda. Take a cruise ship over and spend 3-4 days with the boat docked in Bermuda...prettiest beach ever. If you have chips, many boats let the 3 and 4 person in room for free. There are bunks above the beds on the floor.

I have to agree with Dorothy, although I use to live in Laguna Beach, which is just south of Newport. It's pretty small but it's a very beautiful one.

I am not sure if you have ever been to Destin , Florida. It is in the panhandle and on the Gulf of Mexico and the beaches are stunningly beautiful. It is called the Emerald Coast. There are hotels, condos to rent, great places to eat, great shopping outlets, I live 45 minutes north and it's a beautiful place. Also, alot of people do not realize Gulf Shores Alabama is a great place also. Who would of thought beaches and Alabama would go together!! Its also a great place and about 20 minutes north of there is Foley, Alabama and the hotel rooms are sometimes a little cheaper but, Foley is a great place to shop. It has a huge Outlet Mall called Tangier Outlet. I think that's the name. Destin also has a big Outlet Mall called Silver Sands! Hope you have a great time wherever you go.

I have been in Rehoboth, wildwood, and Destin, FL myself.
in short wildwood, NJ is the best family beach vacation on the east coast. Rehoboth is the best adult beach without the hassle in Maryland the water and sand are great. Now Destin... Destin is top hands down the best beach you will find in the united states, easily beating any Island beach in the Caribbean,. If you notice the map, Destin is the right opposite of the gulf of Mexico, right where a famous destination spot called Cancun. is as beautiful if not better..
you can check my Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/uweekendtraveler/
I have tons of pictures and reviews on these beaches... good luck

I've been to North and South Pacific Ocean, I've been Atlantic coast ..allll down the coast all the way down to West Palm Beach FL ... I've been to the Texas Coast, Mississippi Coast ...hell, I've been to the Mediterranean but I'm gonna agree with Sharmon L. Beasley .. the beaches of Destin FL are just about the MOST beautiful beaches EVER. I'm talking about the actual BEACH. I"ve been there every month of the year .. many times. The sands are crystal clean white ...the waters are clear, and they keep the beaches so clean! Destin has many things to offer but that beach .... soOOooo niiiice.

I like the beach don't get me wrong, but for stunning views,Crystal clear turqoiuse waters, you can't beat going to one of the many springs here in FL. My favorite is Rainbow Springs in Dunellon. You can float either a 2 or 4 hours down the run. Some deep, some shallow. Kayak or canoe, go swimming and Sun bathe. Just enjoy refreshing cool water, and nature at its finest! If you like hiking Rainbow has waterfalls too and it was once a booming attraction with old water park and zoo of which some evidence still remains. Its beautiful here. is be to make lasting memories. Of you choose

So Cal!!!!! we live in Nor Cal and just got back from (down) south. Let me say that I only thought Hawaii and Florida had BEACHES to die for. What was I thinking? My experience along Hwy 1 and the SUPER towns, wonderful food and AWEsome beaches was over the top. If you are able to go most anywhere than Id plan a couple weeks cruisin the Calif coast. Too many great spots to list but you can find them yourself once you get here!!!

Definitely the Emerald Coast , Gulf of Mexico! Anywhere from Pensecola Beach down to Apalachicola. Beautiful soft, white sand. Crystal clear water. I love Destin .Panama City has too many partiers but the beach is beautiful, St.Andrews State Park is nice to visit, also Ft.Pickens on Santa Rosa Island is great to visit. In Pensecola you may get lucky and see the Blue Angels. There is an Aerospace Museum there too! Safe Travels!

I believe one of the most beautiful beaches here in California would have to be Laguna Beach. There's La Jolla, which is south and then further north is Carmel by the Sea which is amazing. It's just so different than the east coast, in Florida, which is where I'm originally from. The water is much colder here. You picked some great beaches in Florida, but you chose touristy ones. There's Longboat & Lido Keys, Anna Marie Island is beautiful too, Sanibel Island and I think my favorite spot was at the tip of Key West, it's absolutely breathtaking where the water is just such a variety of blue & green colors that are out of this world...

I realize this is after July but maybe something to keep in mind for another time Padre Island National Seashore just outside of Corpus Christi, TX. It’s pristine and even has camping grounds where you can park an RV if you have one. There are showers too. Up in Corpus they have a newly renovated aquarium and the USS Lexington Museum right next door. The Seashore is the only beach we go to because it’s so clean and can get busy but never feels crowded. Some mornings they have a sea turtle hatchling release that is pretty awesome to be apart of.

Amber, it's now November and your beach vacation is over, I'm sure. I was surprised though, that no one mentioned Myrtle Beach, SC, I live here, a block from the beach and the beaches in my area 38th Avenue North through 82nd Avenue North are excellent. They're not crowded, especially the ones in front of private homes, they are clean and the resorts/hotels/condos etc are relatively inexpensive. The activities are close by and the downtown area with the rides and carnival atmoshere are the places to have fun...just a short drive or bus away. However; I would not recommend staying there, too crowded, young kids and forget getting sleep...never happen.
There is also Surfside Beach, nice area with less attractions, Garden City Beach for a very quiet vacation but if you like golfing then Myrtle Beach is for you.
The areas I mentioned are not far from restaurant row (The 82nd end) and one can walk to supermarkets, post office, delis...all kinds of things. I live here, don't take advantage of what this area has to offer, but after writing this I think I'll spend more time down the street, having fun.
BTW, if you're near NY, Pa, Md, Mass. Spirit Air flys to Myrtle very cheap. Maybe you'll try it next year!

Depends on that your looking for in a beach! I'm on the west coast side and each beach has its own vibe. Me personally I love soft sand that is a light tan color with many things to do near by and a younger crowd. Santa Monica, Ca. is beautiful and Pismo Beach, Ca. is decked out- for a more private setting but near a main city, Seward Park, Wa. is my favorite and take your kids for a nice walk around there is also an area to go for oldest living trees if you go to the top for parking.

Great beach only bad thing is they don't allow dogs on the beach. Well just short distance from Savannah is Hilton Head island where your babies can play on the beach with you. Just pick up after you pets. Keep on a leash. No aggressive dogs. Wish Tybee would take a hint. Love tybee anyway. GrayWolf 53

If you’re in Orange County, visit Huntington! On tuesdays they have a night market and there is also a dog beach right beside the main beach. If you plan to visit Los Angeles county, go to Santa Monica, they have a lot of pier activities and I believe that the beach is open late towards the weekend, about midnight or 2AM. Both beaches offer a lot of shopping and activities within the vicinity. You can rent bikes and ride around.
