Hi, I was wondering if I was to cancel my booking due to the virus would I get my money back even if my booking was cancelled last minute due to last minute updates ?

Depends on what terms you booked it. If it was a non-refund booking, you may have trouble getting a refund regardless of when you cancel. If you booked free cancellation accommodation, there is a date indicated which you can cancel up to without loss of money, if you cancel after the indicated date you will lose your money. There are also bookings whereby you lose a percentage of money paid if cancelled, while the balance offers free cancellation, once again there will be a date indicated and cancelling after the date you lose 100% of money.

I’m having great difficulty changing have sent booking . com 3 msgs & no further on started 17th July & Hotel can’t change without there say so but getting no where no they busy just need an email won’t do it again will book direct with the Hotel nightmare

Poppy Williams is someone who uses this forum and she has been saying to try the UK Customer service number 0208 612 8000. Apparently some folk have had success with this.

I would advise people to use that number, I have managed to start the process of seeing what can be done with my booking. Hotel being completely unreasonable.
