Hi, There are plenty of phone shops around the place. Just call in, tell them which phone you want it for, how long (pay as you go is the best option) and they'll even fit it for you. Cost? depends how much you want to load it up with, just like in the Uk.

There is also a lot of free wifi in Bali and if you can get by on just using their internet you don't need to buy a sim (however they are cheap).

I'd suggest hire a driver for a few days and do some day trips ...
*Sanur and/or maybe up to Candidasa
*Ubud
*Legian for a sunset drink on a beanbag on the beach followed by dinner at a beachfront restaurant (Mozzarella by the Sea / Azul)
*Pantai Pandawa / Uluwattu

Thanks I will look up these places

I recommend you buy Telkomsel's phone card only. I read they're the only ones to be trusted. I've taken it and everything's fine with them, it costs about 13€ or less and it's 9gb data. As for visiting, I recommend you hire a guide, we're with one and it's a wonder, you know different places, recommends you places to eat and shop and teaches you about their traditions and life philosophy in Bali.

Hello Sheila!! How did you get the guide?? Speaks Spanish??
Thank you.

I got it by chance through a wedding organization company. He speaks little Spanish, a few words, but he has an easy-to-understand English since he's more or less like me haha. If you want, I can give you the number privately. He charges about 40€ a day.

I'm currently on bali and I got a tekomsel phone card at the same airport right after I got here. It cost me about 24 euros 18 gigs. But if you take her out of the airport, you get a lot cheaper.

You will have to get an Indonesian to get you a sim as they are making it harder for travelers to get them. The sim costs very little and you can top them up with as little as 25000rp ($2.50)
