Travelling from New York to Canada

I want to visit Niagara Falls in Canada. Is flying into NY then rent a car in NY driving across Canada border is better or flying to Canada, rent a car in Canada?

Thanks in advance,
Hannah

Don’t know if you have made the trip yet, but NYC to Niagara falls is a 5-6 hour drive. Better to fly to Toronto or Buffalo and rent from there.

Thank you Bruce. No, I have not made the trip yet since I did not have any advice. I will go in the Spring of next year then. Much appreciate your kind heart to give your advice. Hannah.

fly into Buffalo - it is pretty close to the Falls and easy to get to from there.

We flew into Niagara Falls airport, very small and easy to navigate. Close to the falls and easy to cross to the Canadian side. Make sure you bring documents needed to cross the border, the view from the Canadian side is by far the best.

We drove from Atlanta to Niagara Falls NY this week. Walked across the Rainbow bridge to Canada (only $1 to walk across but need passport). We found driving, even from Atlanta, more economical than flying and renting a car.
