Travelling from Valletta to Comino

Dear all,

Do you know of any tour to Comino and Gozo out of Valletta. We are there for a few days and travelling up north by bus and then take a ferry would be too time consuming for us. Thanks,Roxi

Hello, from Valleta you must to take a bus to Cirkewwa, and from there a Ferry to Blue Lagoon or Gozo.
I recommend you to stay in Buggiba, from there you could arrange a tour to Blue Lagoon and Gozo.
Buggiba is really nice with all the facilities, Comino and Gozo are too quiet to stay on my opinion.

There are lots of tours to Gozo & Comino, Captain Morgan is one of The biggest tour companies if you want to do just a boat trip. There are also jeep safaris and Hopon Hopoff busses on both Malta and Gozo. The ferry crossing is only about 20mins if you decide to do that. There is also a helicopter from Luna airport to Gozo ( depending on your budget). Gozo is beautiful and relatively uncommercialised. It is quieter than Malta which is why we love it and now stay there rather than the main island. Our favourite resort on Malta is Mellieha on the north of the island and has the best beach.

Rent a speed boat at Sliema and cruise around Malta,Comino and Gozo. Traffic is always time consuming in Malta. Therefore you either need a speed boat or a helicopter. Just book this service in advance in order to avoid waiting time.

Other suggestion to rent a speedboat is not practical unless you are licensed to drive or ready to pay a lot for a captain. To stay in Mellieha or Bugibba is better but that will impact all your trip by making Valletta and most other locations harder to reach. Captain Morgan or other day cruises are just a short stop or a swimming stop, not practical. The best way to see Gozo is by private car at leisure. Either a rental or someone like me with free time on his hands. Of course that depends on how many persons you'd be.
