This was a beautiful spot to spend a couple of nights away with a friend. The hosts are lovely. Comfortable beds and a great living room space. There is no kitchen sink, but the host took our dirty dishes and brought them back clean. Plenty of outdoor eating space, where we enjoyed the fruit and pastries we brought with us for breakfast.

The neighbourhood was safe and quiet. I loved the option of having a private parking space if the street parking right in front of property was taken. Home away from Home was cozy and cute! The bed was extremely comfortable and clean. Being able to login to our own tv services on the TV made winding down after a long day of exploring relaxing, just something we’d do at home too. Having a fridge was a bonus as we were able to keep snacks and drinks cold. I loved the coffee/tea station as it was a perfect way to begin the day. I loved the private entrance as it honestly felt like we were “arriving at home” after a long day of exploring! The shower was nice and even though I brought my own shampoo, it was nice to see that those shower amenities were available. My daughter loved the mirror features and described the shower as having a perfect spa day after a day of hiking. It was a perfect mother/daughter vacation stay. We both felt safe and enjoyed our cozy home for the 3 nights. It was close to where we adventured off and the price was perfectly well in our budget. My daughter did wish she could cover the window of the front door as she thought people could see in, especially at night. But reassured it was high up, off the common sidewalk and door is locked, we had the privacy. This was a great stay and if we ever decide to come back to Langford in the future, we would definitely book this cozy Home away from Home again!

We had a delightful time at Baylight. The downstairs apartment is clean and feels fresh, the beds were super comfortable (in fact I peeked at the brand so I would know for future mattress purchases) and the whole place is adorably decorated. They are still working on getting the kitchen set up, so if you are coming in the near future, bring meals and foods you can warm up in the microwave, bagels for the toaster, and don’t forget the ice cream which you can have while enjoying the gorgeous view outside your door. Catherine and Jeff were wonderful to work with and very responsive. All around, a wonderful home base for those planning on exploring the beauty of Vancouver Island.

Location was central to our daily excursions…and fabulous for seeing ocean life. Such a beautiful location. Host was helpful and friendly. Resident deer on the property too. Rental was clean, well supplied and comfortable. Would stay again!

Enjoyed the European design and indigenous decour. Views of the bay were amazing and suite layout were outstanding, amenities were exceptional , rooms and beds, including linens, were extremely comfortable and were a perfect home away from home. Remote screens for windows, fans, fireplaces were easy to operate and convenient. Secured parking behind a remote wrought iron designed gate added an extra layer of security. A beautiful escape and an opportunity to unwind, relax and connect with nature.
