The owner and the employees did everything they could to make us comfortable. We are travelling with 2 very young children and this property made travel easy. Having food on site was helpful. They were knowledgeable about attractions. We wanted authentic Costa Rican experiences and they made this possible.

Very nice accommodation. Think we walked close to 150 miles on tours looking for a sloth. On our last day there was a sloth in the back yard - 20ft away and 15ft in the air. Lol.

Everything! The house was cute, comfortable, and well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, microwave, coffee maker, stove top, electric tea pot, tea, coffee. The breakfasts were varied with a different fresh juice every day. The pool is filled with fresh flowing water from a stream and was delightful. The jungle is feet away from your balcony, and there is a little path in a loop. And then there is Gabriela the host and her amazing family. They are so sweet, ready to give advice and answer any questions you might have! They have a cow, a young calf, many chickens, a goat and two kids. Oh, and the cutest little dog Sasi. We asked if we could learn to milk the cows and they made plans the following morning to teach us. In general we couldn’t have been happier and would definitely visit the Gambas Lodge again!

We liked the stay so much we booked another night. The rooms are what you are in the photos but they are perfectly sized for a couple. And the facility is clean and has free laundry service. Which my wife and I loved. When we came there after a long day of travel they greeted us with a fresh coconut welcome drink which was chilled! Exactly what we needed. I think you won't go wrong with this one. The restaurant next to this place has good tasty breakfast with chill vibes.
