What a special place! I wish we could have stayed longer. The views on the balcony are incredible. And the host took us on a trail on his property and we learned a lot about the local wildlife and plants. The place is set up with everything you need- great outdoor seating, a BBQ, games, coffee and comfortable beds. If you are in the area, I would 100% recommend this gem!

This was by far the best experience I have ever had in Costa Rica. I traveled to 15 different locations over 6 months and this host family was the most generous and helpful family I have ever known. They brought me food all the time (fruit, meat, vegetables and snacks) and even gas at one point for my car. They even took me in their Jeep to see a sunset. The facility itself is clean and impeccably maintained. The house has everything you need to cook with. You hear howler monkeys in the trees across the street and chickens next door. The outdoor living area is perfect for larger groups or families. There is a convenience store a short walk away where you can find some basic staples including some meat and vegetables but it is really small (one room) so I would suggest if you come for more than a couple days that you bring groceries with you because the bigger grocery stores are about 20 minutes away. The best part is you are in the country surrounded by farmland. The yard is completely fenced in for dogs. I felt safe with a relative living next door. Highly recommend!

Communication prior to arrival was excellent. There are two markets and a gas station very close by for all your basic needs. Also there was a great bar and restaurant called moyas and a german bakery that was fantastic. House had just enough things to be able to cook for our family of 7. It's about a 45-60 min drive to arenal national park and la fortuna. Showers were hot and house had all our basic needs.

- very friendly host, with fun on-site walking tour (passable Spanish sufficient) and tasty free coffee from their family farm as advertised - responsive host who went above and beyond to quickly come replace our bedsheets after they got dirty - good cooking supplies, electric cooker etc - Netflix offered, which distracted from amazing sunset views

The host greeted us as we arrived on the driveway. He was friendly and came back at the agreed upon time to show us how to turn off the outdoor jacuzzi, which wasn't hot, but given the warm temperature, it was a refreshing way to cool off before going to bed. The host delivered homemade breakfast to us at 7 am the next morning. Plus, he was very courteous when we thought we had lost the cabin key. BONUS: We listened to howler monkeys nearby as we ate our breakfast and had a pleasant hike on the hill above the cabins after breakfast.

This property is stunning. We staying in the Tiny House which was tucked away in the jungle with a very private deck with hot tub and swing chair. The house had all the amenities of a boutique hotel and then some. Woodburning stove with wood stacked ready for a fire, luxurious shower, well stocked kitchen including sparkling wine, fresh eggs and pancake mix. Our hosts were so helpful and communication was excellent. The sunset views from the observation deck were stunning!
