The property manager lives nearby but was not present due to travel. All coordination was handled by message with no problems. Be sure to use the number provided in the booking confirmation and proactively ask questions. Very responsive. Property manager communicates effectively in English, if that is a concern. The property description is accurate, and the property is much better than the photos depict. Adequate space for a family to comfortably spend an extended period of time. Modern renovation that is bright and airy. The property is very, very clean. The beds and bedding are comfortable. Well equipped kitchen with adequate cookware and serving dishes to support max capacity of the house; only thing missing was a baking tray or cookie sheet for the oven. The garden is dedicated for the house and is very private. Orientation of the house reduces sun exposure and heating during the summer, but it would be advisable to bring fans if staying in warm months. Washing machine in the basement with drying rack provided. Dedicated parking spot on the side by the garages. Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Fifteen-to-twenty-minute walk to the Alt Stadt area with many options for bakeries, restaurants, and shopping. Close to the hospital, if needed. Very few holiday properties in the Offenburg area provide all of these amenities in a location walking distance into town.

First of all, the building and the suite were first rate - very modern, convenient and state of the art. Literally everything was exceptional. Christine, our host, was friendly, engaging and very helpful. Our unit had a small kitchenette that was efficiently arranged with top-of-the-line appliances (Bosch, Panasonic). It is possibly the most up to date suite I've had the pleasure to stay in and after seeing the unit and comparing the price, it was a rare find. Meeting such a nice person as our host was icing on the cake. We ordered breakfast that was delivered to the room. We were a little late getting back from a hike, but it was insulated and still hot and fresh. Location was next to a great hiking trail and in the middle of wine country - a quiet small town with lots of first-rate wineries.

Very nice house, very clean and plenty of space for 3 adults. The hosts were SO nice- before my arrival I requested if the hosts had a few birthday candles (my birthday was during my stay) they could provide or maybe they could tell me where to go nearby to buy some. Upon my arrival, they had a small pack of candles waiting for us!! The house seemed quite new or perhaps recently renovated, the washer and dryer in the basement were clean and easy to use, and the covered outdoor patio/smoking area was absolutely lovely for breakfast. The hosts live next door and were easy to reach via the bell near the front door or by text, and they were responsive, always super nice, and accommodating whenever we ran into each other or I asked a question. They also have a very cute dog, who is well behaved and didn't bark at all (or didn't bark loud enough to hear). There was obviously no breakfast included as it is a vacation home but the hosts do provide coffee pods for morning coffee. The property itself is a tiny bit difficult to find the very first time, but the hosts provide all the information you need to find it properly as long as you can follow directions. There are also rules to follow about quiet hours during the night, not specific to here apparently but actually just Germany in general, but if you inform the hosts of any time you may not be able to abide by those times (like for my birthday we were up past midnight- well behaved but I'm sure we were still noisy) they will work with you! We loved staying here, surrounded by apple orchards and berry vines, the town is quaint and quiet and super picturesque. And the location is quite convenient- only a few minutes down the road from the Oberkircher Brennersteig AKA the schnapps hike (highly recommend but careful if you go on a Monday or Tuesday a lot of the places are closed!) and close by to the larger city of Offenburg.

One of the best properties we have ever stayed in. Extremely comfortable beds and sofa. Well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Very modern. The host was very friendly and informative! Also an excellent location to get to the Black Forest, Europa park and France.

This property is a short 5 minute ride outside Gengenbach and is an excellent starting point for many Christmas markets and beautiful drives in the area. Its in a beautiful valley on the edge of a forested area with plenty of trails for walking. The apartment was newer, very clean and was one of several in a large house. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with every utensil for cooking and the bathrooms were modern and spacious. This was one of the more comfortable stays on our 4 month trip.
