It's beautiful, peaceful and the hosts were always helpful and pleasant. I found the breakfast and picnic lunch tasty and the right amount. I appreciate that many products come directly from the finca. The rooms are very spacious, beautifully designed. We stayed in the family suite, which was perfect for family of 4. The living room and dining space downstairs with stove was a real treat to light up while playing board games. It rained and was cold while we were visiting but we were happy to snuggle around by the fire. I forget to mention there is a lovely 5k circular trail that starts just by the parking lot that takes you up to the mirador de Lagares under the cover of old cork and almond trees and spanish broom and jara bushes. Nice trail to do just after the delightful breakfast.

Our host Toñi and jer husband met us at the door of the apartment wih a bag of magdalenas, a specialty in Trujillo. As we were attending a wedding that weekend, they told us about the venues we would attending and information about taxi service. Toñi's welcome made us immediately feel at home and excited to have some free time to roam the city. The location of the apartment was excellent!

Pablo, the host, went above and beyond to accommodate us. He even made special arrangements so we could bring our car into the plaza on a Sunday so that my 81 yo old mother and her 80 year old friend didn't have to carry their bags to the parking area. The parking area isn't far, he just wanted everything to be extra easy for us. The apartment is cool, quiet and comfortable, is VERY CLEAN, and is in a great location! It is a few steps off of the main plaza, but we never heard any sounds coming from there. All of the ACs work perfectly and the kitchen is very well appointed with everything you could need to make meals and a great cup of tea or coffee. Pablo is very generous. Not only did he provide us with wonderful snacks, fruit, treats, wine, coffee and tea but he went above and beyond to answer my endless questions about the history of the building. As a Jew it was very important for me to know, understand and appreciate the history of the building. Pablo and his family have done amazing work to both honor the history and the Jewish people who once occupied Trujillo, and also to protect the remaining artifacts and prevent further appropriation or destruction. Because of Pablo and his family the memory of the Jewish people and their contributions to the area will continue to live and remain available to honor and learn from for generations to come.
