The bathrooms lacked hooks for towels and other bags. It was bare bones. Towels and travel bags were all hooked to the same connection point. Towels were draped over anything that would then to dry

I think it's a home away from home that everyone dreams of. Unless you own a stately home yourself and if so, you can share your experience with the rest of us! We've been at Pittodrie for about a week in May 2025. It felt like you're on set of a period drama when the props were taken straight out of an antique furniture shop. Maybe they really were? Forgot to ask. I loved the strenuous walks around the neighborhood, climbing Bennachie mountain to see the old Pictish fort and stopping right before reaching the top. The hotel had nothing to do with it, it was my fear of heights. But the staff definitely patched my underachievement wound with late-night drinks at the lounge. Seriously, plan for that, even if you're there just for day. Let yourself soak in the cozy atmosphere. Or stay in your room, have the ice bucket filled, nurse a drink of your choice in hand and read a book. No one will disturb you. Around Pittodrie: go to Castle Fraser to hear the whispers of the history again; take a look at 'them and us' French and Scottish impressionist exhibition at Aberdeen Art Gallery; feel the wind blowing in your face when you're up the hill at Dunnottar Castle ruins in Stonehaven. That's what we did, (Take a deep breath if you have fear of heights, too, hold the rail firmly, it's doable) The staff can book you a taxi to Inverurie, about 20 minutes' ride, and you go on from there by train. In at home: try every item on the menu (especially dill salmon and cajun fries with garlic butter); take a picture of the dish if you feel like it, it's an art form, compositionally on the plate as well as taste-wise; take a sneak peek at a Scottish wedding if you're lucky. Stay away if you've seen too many in your life. Have fun! ______ Many thanks to the staff. You made our stay unforgettable and we're coming back for more exploration.

It was a lovely cozy apartment, warm and had everything we needed, Tina was lovely and even did a load of washing for us. A lovely pack of strawberries awaited us and Tina suggested we have a look in her orchard and taste some of her lovely fruit. So we enjoyed some gooseberries and raspberries and black and red currants. We had a very enjoyable stay, very quiet and a really lovely comfy bed. Very peaceful area and sooo quiet. If you want a nice, quiet, romantic place to stay for a few days or longer THEN GET IN TOUCH WITH TINA and stay here.

Everything, the facilities, the location, the hosts, the surrounding area. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by Tina our host. The garden house was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. It had everything you needed in a place you were using as a base to explore the surrounding area. We were very sad to be leaving. Even though it was a ten hour drive to get there, I'd gladly do it all again tomorrow. Thanks so much for making us so welcome and letting us share your beautiful little part of Scotland

A cosy but surprisingly spacious cottage with everything that you need for a little break away. Especially loved the warm welcome from host Tina, the beautifully scented toiletries and fresh flowers as well as the fresh eggs, milk and treats on arrival. Was very generous and made the stay really special. Thanks so much!

We visited Tina's Garden Hideaway House for 2 days and immediately fell in love with it. The house has everything a single visitor or a couple need for a relaxed holiday, it is very cosy and very nicely decorated and has its own patio and garden. Its location is very convenient to visit the eastern part of the Highlands. And Tina was just great (thank you!!), very accomodating of our late check-in and so thoughtful and responsive to the few requests we had. We wish we had stayed longer and hopefully will come back another time!!!
