We had a wonderful stay at Askot Cottages. It is a beautifully designed and super cozy cottage. The hosts really thought of everything, such as a selection of tea and coffee, salt, pepper, sugar and oil, games, body lotion, plenty of towels, a drying rack to dry your clothes if wet from the rain and there is even a laundry machine with detergent. We stayed four nights to have plenty of time to explore the many sights in the area and to slow down, relax, and enjoy this beautiful place.

The remote area is fantastic - beautiful views everywhere, very quiet, surrounded by nature! The cabin was warm and the heating system was perfect for the size of the cabin. Internet connection was perfect - very fast internet and coverage into the cabin. Perfect place for good relax!

A snowstorm meant that we had to stay an extra night. The host was very accommodating and let us stay for free. He also checked up on us to make sure that we were okay. Great experience!! The hut has windows to all sides, so we also were able to see northern lights on both nights, which was a really cool experience.

Location is perfect, right by the ring road yet isolated. Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull rise proudly above a golden field with horses, straight from the balcony. Equipped kitchen, comfy bed and cosy feeling. Hulda the owner is very nice, friendly and informative. Recommended for few nights stay.

Great location for exploring the Southern coast. Beautiful setting and very comfortable. Well maintained and very quiet. We had a large family group and space for everyone. Would highly recommend.

This place is amazing! Honestly the pictures do not do it justice. The place feels like you are the first one to live there since it was built. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bed is very comfortable, and bonus, the bathroom floor is heated. We could have stayed here for a week or longer. Add in very frendly cats and a barn to visit tons of horses, and it is basically a perfect place to be. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to see the Golden Circle but not stay in the capital.
