Very clean, spacious and peaceful place. There aren’t so many accommodations on the west Nagata side of Yakushima Island so I felt very lucky to stay at Tera’s place. The house is in a small quiet neighborhood with a stunning view of the mountains on one side and access to the ocean beach just 200m through the backyard (where you can find sea turtles laying eggs depending on the season). I had an entire apartment to myself and the owner has thought of everything. Fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove, sink, tea kettle, cookware and utensils), bath, shower and washing machine. Toiletries are fully stocked (tooth paste, tooth brush, towels, soap, shampoo, etc.). Beds are very comfortable and clean. The place also had a diffuser so the air smelt nice. Lots of hangers for clothes which is helpful for a place where it rains a lot so you can hang up your clothes. Owner lives next to the property, is very kind and helpful and also gives space and privacy to guests. I was travelling solo as a female and felt very safe.

Nice and cozy place with large and warm kitchen. We especially liked the view outside. Would consider coming back again to enjoy the sauna.

Everything ! Very nice host who lives nearby with his family. Whole house very well equipped. Nice sea view, house surrounded by nature everywhere. It was a bliss for us to stay there for three nights, we definitively felt "at home". Well located vis a vis main tourist spots (yet you would need a car). Excellent value for price.
