Clean Place. Very Calm and Serene.

The staff was execellent, and the food was delicious. Everything was great and the location was very special. We had a pleasent stay there.

The staff was very helpful, the garden was exceptionally beautiful and taken care of. The dinner that they prepared for us was delicious, we loved every bit of it.

This is the best place we have stayed so far in Sri Lanka! The couple who own it are so friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with a delicious passionfruit juice which we could enjoy in the beautiful garden. It’s so peaceful here, and you can see peacocks and varan lizards roaming around. The cabana is really nice and comfortable. The bed is comfy and the AC works. The bathroom was very spacious and everything was clean. There is even a fridge in the room which was handy. We also did our safari through them and Gayan was an amazing and very knowledgeable guide! Breakfast is also great. If we ever return to Sri Lanka we will definitely come back here!

Richards Cabanas is located just far enough away from the main town in a beautifully tranquil and relaxing spot with much beautiful bird and other wildlife nearby, yet also near enough for easy walking or tuktuk access there. I had the privilege of being upgraded to a better cabana nearer the pool, which was very comfortable and well-protected against the inevitable mosquitoes. The meals served were also delicious - you have a wide variety of choices for breakfast, and I ate enough on both days to last me till dinner, which was also delicious and featured produce grown and harvested fresh from the on-site garden. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome at all times. Amila, the owner, is a top-notch host who also can organise lake and Yala safaris while you're there; I had a great time on both, with experienced guides who made many memorable wildlife sightings. As I had still not finalised my remaining travel plans in Sri Lanka, Amila suggested a travel itinerary in line with my broad preferences, and so I booked the services of his brother-in-law, Samith, as my driver for the remainder of my trip. I'm glad I made this booking, as Samith was such great company for my remaining trip. He always prioritised ensuring I had an enjoyable experience while staying safe, and it was sad to part ways with him when he dropped me off at the airport. All in all, highly recommended to stay, and also to book other excursions / travel arrangements with.

Its a beautiful villa very close to yala national park. It was comfortable and clean and exceeded our expectations.. would definitely recommend the host and staff for a wonderful stay . We booked a safari as well at a bargain rate through the host

The house was wonderful!!! The hosts are very receptive and helpful!

We enjoyed our stay in the tree house. The main treehouse room wasn’t available but the other house was. It was so nice hearing all the birds and animal sounds overnight. The breakfast was simple. There was secure parking for the rented tuktuk. The garden and attention to detail was impressive. We went for a run to the lake in the morning.

Room was large with comfortable bed. Bathroom was very clean. Restaurant food was excellent.

The room are more likely like safari concept which is good .The food are so so nice and tasty. Kudos to the chef who recommended us for the dinner.
