We had a wonderful stay 27th -31st March as a group of 7 friends celebrating a big birthday and the Riad was perfect for our first trip to Marrakesh. It was traditional with everything we needed - the most well equipped accommodation we have ever stayed in! It is on a secure residence, quiet with a handy supermarket, cash machine and bakery (and restaurants) just a few minutes walk. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Hanane with mint tea and freshly baked cake. There was also water and welcome drinks. Hanane only spoke French and Arabic but we dug out our old school French and took the opportunity to get know more about her and her family. She did laugh at our efforts at French! Our booking included breakfast which Hanane made for us fresh every morning at the Riad and she was wonderful and really looked after us, also helping with taxi bookings and general things (the accommodation uses an agency). She was just fab! Our host, Aziza, is lovely and helpful too, checking in on us on arrival and during the stay, also helping with queries. Nothing was too much trouble. The Riad was just lovely and spacious with good size bedrooms. We made good use of the courtyard and roof terrace which was very relaxing - the roof terrace got plenty of sunshine. To be honest the pictures don’t do the Riad full justice. It’s a bonus having a pool - it was cold but lovely when you were in (honest!) We only used once other then dangling legs in as we were out and about. We were blessed with gorgeous weather during our stay. It’s about 15/20 mins by car to the Medina depending where you are going. This property is in a quiet location away from the hustle & bustle but a gem.
