We absolutely LOVED staying here. Honestly the best part was meeting Paulo and Puri, what kind and warm people! We absolutely recommend sharing a dinner with the hosts, a highlight of our stay for sure! Puri also makes jams and olive oil that are delicious. Paulo offered to show us where the locals buy their bread and it was such a hidden treasure, never would have found it on our own. We highly recommend a stay here. if you are foodies like us, don’t make the mistake of booking restaurant reservations before asking Paulo, he really knows what he is talking about when it comes to food! The property was clean and modern. there is a small kitchen and nice walk-in shower. The bed is comfortable and there is a ceiling fan which is great if that is what you are used to sleeping with or visiting on a particularly hot day.

Incredible hosts, family owned with their eatery right around the corner, amazing food, met whole family who were warm and open, very clean and professionally presented rooms, linens of quality, port wine and chocolate treat greeted us, 8 min drive to Castelo e Vila Muralhada, de Ansiães which is not to be missed!!

Very peaceful and quiet. Very clean and a fully equipped kitchen. Absolutely beautiful views of vine covered hillsides across the Douro river from the property. Beautiful outdoor space to enjoy breakfast - which were delivered every morning and one of which was enough to tide the two of us over for several days of not only breakfast, but lunch and/or dinner as well. Also, the host family was amazing. They were the kindest people we have ever had the good fortune to meet. They truly made us feel like family, a phrase often used in reviews and in our situation truly experienced.
