Our host Benedita greeted us as we got out of the car, she was forewarned by her overactive but cute dog Leia; she recruited her daughter Rachel to translate as a go-between for the check-in (thanks Rachel). We later managed very well on our own with a mixture of English, Portuguese, Spanish and a bit of French. Benedita offered us the use of her laundry room for free which we graciously accepted on the spot. You just cannot wish for a better host, we felt that we were treated like family. Thanks Benedita, please say Hello to Luke (her other dog that I wish I could take home).

The facilities were very neat and clean and picturesque. I’m not sure how old the buildings were but they’ve been around for quite awhile. Regardless, everything was in excellent repair. Old town Evora is only minutes away, they have fee parking and there is an excellent grocery store within a short walkThe staff was warm and welcoming and they served an excellent breakfast with eggs and bacon cooked on request. Otherwise they served an excellent array of breads, fruits, meats and cheeses. This is a family-run business and we couldn’t have felt more welcome. This was by far the best place we stayed during our month in Portugal, Spain and France.

Bella's House is located in Évora, just a 7-minute walk from Church of Nossa Senhora da Graca and 700 yards from Igreja Real de Sao Francisco.

Location great, close to a parking place and doesn't require driving through the small streets. Bella was very nice, explained everything about the city and gave us a great recommendation of a restaurant with amazing local portugueses food.
