A most beautiful guesthouse. Feels like you stepped back into another time. Very quiet area. Good size room, spotless. Really nice terrace to enjoy relaxing at the end of the day. The host is so very kind and attentive. The breakfast was filled with lots of choices and neatly displayed. Highly recommended,!!

This property is situated in a small village which is a good starting point for the route of the historical villages. Despite the language barrier, as we do not speak Portuguese, we had no problem communicating. Our host Laura Mendes is a charming, attentive person who makes the best coffee in Portugal and a good breakfast. Her son who speaks English helped us when we arrived with all of the information. Provisions can be found in the village or close by at Orca, there is a small grocery and restaurant or there is the town of Lardosa not too far.

Everything. The property is impeccably designed. The location takes you back in time, set in a remote village but is easily accessible by the roads. The rooms are comfortable l, and have excellent amenities. The owners are very hospitable and make every effort to allow you to enjoy your stay. We went in summer but I can see how it would also be amazing in the winter! I hope we get to stay again.

This property was exceptional in every way. Spacious rooms with with comfortable beds and a great breakfast. The property was reconstructed in May, 2023 and extremely well done. We were able to explore the grounds of the farm. There are a number of paths and areas to relax. Our host was most gracious. She only speaks Portuguese but after downloading a translator and with the help of her daughter, we were easily able to communicate. Good roads, not far off the main highway and a great value.

This property is cozy and comfortable nestled in the center of this charming boulder filled wonder of a village. The property is a quick walk up to the castle and a fascinating stroll through the boulder laden streets. Eloiza is an amazing host. She met us at the town square and delivered our luggage to the property, a two minute ride and a five minute walk. It was raining when we arrived and she brought us delicious vegetable soup, home made cookies and delicious full bodied wine from the Monsanto region. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Eloiza gave us excellent suggestions regarding other places to explore in the area.

Very large, quiet and comfortable room and bathroom with air-conditioning, cable TV with even a few English channels, great balcony and views, outdoor swimming pool, wonderful continental breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee, fresh baked bread rolls and crescents, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, eggs cooked to order. Very friendly hosts, great value and location in rural Portugal 15 minutes from the city of Fundao. Highly recommend!
