One thing that's challenging to find in Colombia is a quiet place to stay and at Azulejo, it was super quiet. It might be a little bit inconvenient that it isn't located a little closer to town, but I'll take the longer walk (approx 20 mins to the plaza principal) in exchange for the peace and quiet any day. The people who ran things were super nice. The breakfast was great and served at the exact time requested and for all these reasons and more, I ended up staying several extra days there . Lots of hot water for the shower and it was a bonus that they had a full kitchen plus washer/dryer to use for guests. All units include a wardrobe. The view is best in Guatape. The owners are very chilled and there was no problems with communication! It was so relaxed we were extending stays each day! 😅 Very clean, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen with best view in the house. Hammocks to chill, kayaking just beside the house, close to town so you can grab your veggies. Just everything was great!

Well, what can I say? This has been one of the best experiences on booking.com so far. Travelled here from Medellin with my friend and two (adult) children). The place is absolutely gorgeous. The cabin reminds me of the cottages we have in Finland- wooden, fairly basic, but lovely. The location was beautiful, private, and very quiet. Although the lake had little water, exploring the otherworldly surroundings was a memorable experience. Breakfast was good, and the hosts were excellent. Please don't miss this opportunity if you like nature, calmness, hot tub in the sunset, etc...Really hope to visit again.
