We walked to the centrum, and if Talvijärvi is frozen that would be even easier. Highly recommended place.

I gave 10 because it wasn't possible to give a higher score. This place is amazing, the chalet was one of cosiest places I've been to. Warm, spotless clean, equipped with any possible kitchen tool. The sauna and the fireplace completed the whole experience. We decided to have dinner at home instead of going out to enjoy the comfort and warmth. We woke up every day surrounded by snow and silence, it was like a fairytale! Position is perfect, very close to Ruka village but away from the bustle, next to a quiet lake (frozen at the moment of my visit) and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Marita has been quick and efficient in her communication, she explained everything we needed to know when we arrived, and was available at any time. You can tell it's a family owned business! I wish I could stay more!

Quiet, peaceful, beds comfortable, sauna excellent, water temperature and pressure super, AC system working great, communication with cottage contacts excellent, drying racks, grill on site, etc AAA++++

Nice area surrounded by forest and a few other cabins and the drive was great for sledging! Well stocked kitchen although couldn’t find tea towels anywhere! Great big fire to take off the chill and fully stocked shed which you were allowed to use the sledges and toboggans during the stay which was brilliant! It is a perfect cabin!

A wonderful, cosy place in a truly picturesque area. It looks magical in winter and would be just as amazing in summer. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

The stay was excellent and had everything we needed. The location is perfect—close to the mountain and the village—yet very quiet and peaceful. Everything in the house was working perfectly and easy to understand and use. The sauna was a great addition for relaxing in the evenings after skiing. We also really appreciated the wardrobe that dried ski boots and equipment—such a thoughtful touch. Overall, an amazing place and a very comfortable stay. We would definitely come back!
