Bridge House Hotel & Silver Howe View Cottage is less than 5 miles from Lake Windermere and around 13 miles from Keswick. Ambleside’s attractions include the Armitt Museum and 17th-century Bridge House. Very friendly, home from home vibe. Great location with lots of excellent walks and pubs nearby. Everywhere very clean and breakfast / scones were lovely.

Bright, traditional bedrooms each have a Freeview TV, free Wi-Fi, and a full private bathroom. Tea making facilites are also offered. All rooms have views of either the lake, the gardens or parkland estate. Some overlook the Stable Courtyard area. Everything was perfect! Room, breakfast, the visit of the castle and a wonderful golf.

Each room at Caley Hall Hall is spacious, with a carpeted floor and traditional furnishing. Each also has a TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. We wished we could have stayed a few more days instead of just one night. Everyone was so helpful, the place was clean, cozy, and beautiful. It was just a lovely experience from the beginning to end. Breakfast was amazing 😊
