The breakfast was fantastic and checking in and out was easy. The heated bathroom floor was fun and our room had its own entrance to the outside with a hallway bench - quite nice. The King bed was comfortable with nice bedding. We LOVED the short, beautiful stroll into Sandsend and had our best pub meal of our entire UK trip at The Hart Inn. I took a chance being a person with dog allergies and was very happy (and impressed) that although dog friendly, the rooms were spotless, did not have any animal smells and I had no animal allergies.

We were only there for a short trip but found the cottage to be the highlight of our time in Whitby! The breakfast hamper and milk were so appreciated as we had to head out fairly early. Every room in the cottage has such personality and we loved getting to find all of the carefully curated items throughout. The guest book and watercolours were a lovely touch and we spent some time listening to a record upstairs on the record player. They went above and beyond to contact me when I left a portable fan behind and made sure it got back to me. Truly exceptional hospitality. We’ve already raved about this gem of a find to family and friends so if you are reading this, then we 100% recommend you book in for your Whitby stay! 🥰

Very tidy, clean and well looked after.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, The Foulsyke Licensed Bed and Breakfast Scalby Scarborough is a farm stay set in a historic building in Scarborough, 4.9 km from Peasholm Park. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The property features services including meeting and banquet facilities and film nights. From the moment we arrived, we were greeting by our hosts, Casey and Joe, and they couldn't have been nicer. They are such genuinely lovely people and they have a really nice B&B with a fantastic atmosphere. The place is spotlessly clean and the room is gorgeous. We had the attic room. The room has plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. The room has all the facilities you would need including a TV, fan, hairdryer and kettle. They also provide you with plenty tea, hot chocolate, several varieties of coffee and some tasty cookies too. The room also has plenty of sockets for any electrical items. The bathroom is stunning and has a large free standing rolltop bath that faces the window and there is a nice view out the window. There is also a nice shower. The bathroom is stocked with plenty clean towels and plenty toiletries are provided too. The room was serviced each day, towels were changed as needed and tea and coffee etc. was re-stocked. For breakfast, the options are varied to suit all tastes and the quality of food is excellent and delicious. The cooked breakfast is particularly good and certainly sets you up for the day. We didn't get to eat any evening meals there, but the menu looks great and from what I have heard, their food is fantastic. Based on how good the breakfast is, I was not surprised to hear such positive words about their other food. The B&B is also licenced and they have a bar. We did not drink in the B&B, but they have a decent selection of beers and quite an impressive selection of spirits, and in particular, a good selection of whisky. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Foulskye. We have booked again for next year and we are already looking forward to going back. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
