Majella and Pat were so welcoming, and the house was absolutely perfect, so comfortable and warm and such lovely added details, like some homemade brown bread and porridge oats, milk, butter and jam in the fridge. We loved meeting the lovely dogs Millie and Bella! I would highly recommend this cottage to stay in for a peaceful break from the city, with really kind and welcoming hosts.

Veronica met us at the bus stop in Riverstick, gave us a tour of the area, and then a thorough run down of everything we would need to know about the property itself. Maurice was equally helpful, going so far as to help us find a lost item on the property (successfully) to giving us guidance on the town and transport. Absolutely world class welcome to Curragh House Lodge! People in the town were equally welcoming and we spent a lovely evening with some of them at Allen’s Bar, just down the hill from the lodge. Further down the street, the Gourmet Pantry had wonderful food and friendly/helpful staff. Wish we had spent many more days there since it was perhaps the most friendly of all the places we visited over a 2.5 week trip.

We loved having a private space inside the fort, and the flat was excellent. We would recommend anyone stay at Elizabeth Fort and would stay again in the future.

The home and property were beautiful decorated in every way, very clean and quiet and just a short distance from everything. Our host was exceptional. She was friendly and personable, made us feel right at home and gave us great suggestions. She made us feel like visiting friends. We slept wonderfully!
