The location is ideal to visit Chianti, Sienna, San Gimignano and Firenze. But just relaxing there is also a great escape.

Agriturismo Villa Guarnaschelli is a 17th-century villa set in the hills around Florence and offers panoramic views from its tower and courtyard. The garden features the villa's original stone olive press. the host Adrianne was amazing and really helped us during the stay, the location is lovely and relatively close to the station but car is recommended

A Dreamy Tuscan Villa Stay – Highlight of Our Italian Road Trip This villa was the absolute highlight of our Italian road trip. Nestled among cypress-lined pathways, its entrance alone sets the tone for a serene and picturesque escape. Surrounded by its own vineyard and olive orchards, the property offers breathtaking views and a true taste of Tuscany. The restaurant overlooks the sunset, making every dinner a memorable experience. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are generously sized, adding to the comfort of the stay. One of our favourite features was the pool set amidst olive trees—a peaceful spot to relax, read, and watch the kids play. The pool is open from morning to late evening. I was able to swim quite a few laps as well. With fewer rooms than large resorts, the atmosphere is calm, clean, and never overcrowded. The villa produces its own wine and olive oil, and the staff are incredibly polite and courteous. A special mention goes to Giona, who went above and beyond to make our stay special, especially for my husband’s 40th birthday. The food was outstanding—freshly prepared and full of flavour. The pasta with tomato and aubergine was hands down the best we’ve ever had. For a potato lover like me, the roast potatoes were amazingly seasoned and soooo good. We tried every dessert on the menu, and each one was exceptional. Their house-baked biscotti was a lovely treat too. Breakfast was just right—a mix of sweet items, boiled eggs, cereals, cheese, bread, coffee, and juices. It was perfect for making a quick sandwich and starting the day without needing to venture out early. Our kids especially loved the sweet options! The villa’s location also makes it easy to explore nearby towns like Montepulciano and Siena, which is just about 1 hour and 15 minutes away. This stay was everything we hoped for and more—peaceful, scenic, and full of warmth. We would return in a heartbeat.

The farmhouse is run by a young Italian couple and has been carefully restored to offer a swimming pool and Tuscan restaurant serving traditional cuisine and a wide range of wines. The estate also contains a charming living room with a fireplace and 3 dining rooms furnished in a country style according to the owners’ creative tastes. Set within 24 km of Piazza del Campo and 29 km of Piazza Matteotti, Agriturismo San Sano offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Gaiole in Chianti. This farm stay has a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking. The farm stay features family rooms. This was our second visit, and once again, we were not disappointed. The staff are truly exceptional. A special thanks to Amira from the restaurant, the attentive waiters, the gardener who keeps the grounds beautifully maintained, the housekeeping team for their excellent work, and of course, the owner Matteo and the wonderful Lorena. Lorena is a true gem—warm, welcoming, and always making sure we feel right at home. She even helped us organize a small birthday celebration, offering great ideas. Her hospitality skills are outstanding. We enjoyed a lovely wine tasting paired with cheese and ham. We also purchased some of their delicious, locally produced olive oil and a few bottles of wine. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful—perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s quiet throughout the day, creating a wonderfully relaxing environment. You can enjoy breakfast ( small buffet with good selection of bread, croissant, cake, egg, hams, cheese, juices coffee etc) and dinner ( à la carte) at their restaurant, where the meals are consistently delicious. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. For those who prefer to avoid stairs, I recommend the ground-floor rooms facing the vineyards. We’ll definitely be coming back.

The property is set in verdant surroundings, along the quiet banks of Torrente Ombrone. Spend relaxing moments strolling around, or dipping in the outdoor swimming pool. Wi-Fi is free in public areas, rooms and apartments. The staff was very friendly, studio spacious and beds confortable. We were traveling with two children and we had enough space. Breakfast was above all expectations. We really loved the experience and hope to come back again.

CastelBigozzi is surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, 12 km from San Gimignano. It offers an outdoor swimming pool with hydromassage, and rustic, air-conditioned rooms. You can book free guided excursions on the Via Francigena path. It was exactly what was promised. An old building in the heart of Tuscany int the middle of an olive orchard. Unfortunately we only spent a night there and wished we could have stayed longer. The restaurant was also very nice with a nice view of the sunset over the hills. The rooms are extremely spacious, clean and beautiful. Overall, we would come back at anytime in a heartbeat

Lovely place, really good location, Great service, owners extremely hospitable, welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend this place!
