It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

With pool views, this accommodation provides a patio. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Gorgeous residence in a calm beautiful place near the river. The caretaker Mr. Nalin and the rest of the staff were very kind to us and assisted us in everything we asked, including arrangements with transfers and tours around the island. The residence itself (including the pool with the area around it) was comfortable and big enough to fit 7 friends. Lots of books about local culture and nature are available for the guests, including birdwatching manuals (and even equipment). Last but not least, the food was delicious, including both western and local cuisine. Highly recommend this place!

Plenty of electrical sockets to charge my devices and work with my laptop. Great TV and really easy to use. Friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. The hotel is very central with easy access to shops, eating places and the metro, trams, buses and central train station. I will definitely be back."
