Especially the walkway to the cottage - WOW! And we were so pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the cottage. It was super clean and nice and the bed very comfortable. And then best of all was Leel. He took us on a 6-hour safari and he was such a great guide. He was very knowledgeable, showing us even the smaller animals that we couldn't see. And we saw so many elephants with him! We also got to talk to him after dinner, and the kind and interesting discussions are some of my favorite memories of our whole trip. If you're looking for where to stay in the area, I would highly recommend Leel's place.

The room was clean, and our favorite feature was the outdoor bathroom, which we absolutely loved — it had a toilet, a regular shower, a natural waterfall-style shower, and even a small private plunge pool or bathtub — really fantastic. The location is great — right in the center of town, but it feels like you’re in the jungle. It’s beautifully arranged, and it’s definitely worth spending time relaxing on the terrace. The owner is extremely friendly and also offers dinners and a safari trip to Udawalawe National Park.

It was the best-equipped room we had in Sri Lanka. Amil and his wife are hard working and good people . They do their best and succeed in making you fell welcome and at ease. The breakfast and the other meals were good and plentiful. They organized our transfer from Sigirya with a professional driver and very nice person( Priyante). If we come back to Udawalawe we would choose again this lovely place.

Udawalawe National Park is 16 km from the lodge. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 50 km from the property. The place was just better than we expected for this price. Large very comfortable room. And the food served at the place (dinner and breakfast) was carefully prepared and delicious. Ideal place to stay if visiting National safari park. Good value for money.

There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. The location right next to the main road & close to busstation. the family was very kind & welcoming. This was one of the cleanest places i stayed at. The pool was a great addition to my stay.

Best in many aspects: hospitability - everyone was was genuinely kind and welcoming, best and reasonably priced safari with great driver, excellent village safari with many birds and great knowledge shared of cultivations and peoples lives, best rice and curry we had so far. Location was just right by the park - you could see elephants just by looking out from the entrance.
