Udara was really friendly and helpful. The service he provided was amazing. He helped with the safari booking and made sure everything was arranged perfectly, so the tickets were booked in advance, and we didn't have to wait in line. The house was clean and comfortable and had a washing machine we could use.

The villa is gorgeous, plenty of space for the 5 of us. The whoops of joy as our kids explored the place said it all! Private pool, incredible food, attentive staff, wildlife all around. On our first evening, the guides took us to the red sand beach, about a 20 minute walk away. Very beautiful. You walk past a lake with baby crocs, can spot iguanas and other wildlife. Magical. We booked a safari through the hotel, the jeep was comfortable, and very reasonably priced. They packed us a breakfast to take with. The service was outstanding. We didn't want to leave.

The staff was very helpful, the garden was exceptionally beautiful and taken care of. The dinner that they prepared for us was delicious, we loved every bit of it.

This is the best place we have stayed so far in Sri Lanka! The couple who own it are so friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with a delicious passionfruit juice which we could enjoy in the beautiful garden. It’s so peaceful here, and you can see peacocks and varan lizards roaming around. The cabana is really nice and comfortable. The bed is comfy and the AC works. The bathroom was very spacious and everything was clean. There is even a fridge in the room which was handy. We also did our safari through them and Gayan was an amazing and very knowledgeable guide! Breakfast is also great. If we ever return to Sri Lanka we will definitely come back here!

Richards Cabanas is located just far enough away from the main town in a beautifully tranquil and relaxing spot with much beautiful bird and other wildlife nearby, yet also near enough for easy walking or tuktuk access there. I had the privilege of being upgraded to a better cabana nearer the pool, which was very comfortable and well-protected against the inevitable mosquitoes. The meals served were also delicious - you have a wide variety of choices for breakfast, and I ate enough on both days to last me till dinner, which was also delicious and featured produce grown and harvested fresh from the on-site garden. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome at all times. Amila, the owner, is a top-notch host who also can organise lake and Yala safaris while you're there; I had a great time on both, with experienced guides who made many memorable wildlife sightings. As I had still not finalised my remaining travel plans in Sri Lanka, Amila suggested a travel itinerary in line with my broad preferences, and so I booked the services of his brother-in-law, Samith, as my driver for the remainder of my trip. I'm glad I made this booking, as Samith was such great company for my remaining trip. He always prioritised ensuring I had an enjoyable experience while staying safe, and it was sad to part ways with him when he dropped me off at the airport. All in all, highly recommended to stay, and also to book other excursions / travel arrangements with.

This villa was beautiful and huge with a great pool. Fahim was great for helping us organise a driver, safari tour and meals. The owner Sabirah was also amazing at setting everything up.

Shangri-Lanka Village se nachází v destinaci Tissamaharama a má restauraci, pokojovou službu, bar, zahradu, celoročně otevřený venkovní bazén, terasu a výhled na bazén. Excellent, family-run resort with just 4 bungalows in a beautiful garden with a superb swimming pool & solarium area. The bungalow is lovely & spacious with a large bedroom, a huge bathroom and a lovely patio overlooking the pool for you to relax on. The bed was big and super comfy. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. The AC was effective and the WiFi worked well for us. The breakfasts were very tasty and we ate there twice in the evening, both times enjoying some excellent home cooked food. We really loved the quiet out of town location, but a tuk tuk into Tissa' takes less that 10 minutes. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and always with a smile on their faces, especially Niranji and Kumarra. They were also able to arrange a safari to Yala at a reasonable price - we had a great driver and the whole 6 seat jeep to ourselves. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and we would certainly recommend staying here.
