IndiaEverything! This was my third stay with the Oceanic. It is probably the most unique hotel in the entire South Goa. Honestly, if you have had enough of vast lobbies and manufactured five-star smiles, and are looking for a genuinely relaxing and calm stay, this is the place to come to. The oceanic team has considered everything you need in this small, homely hotel. The restaurant and bar are set up outdoors in a beautiful tropical garden. There is a clean and well-maintained pool surrounded by coconut and mango trees. Everything here has a personal touch, and nothing is mass-manufactured like big chains of hotels. Even each of their 11 rooms is different and comes with various layouts.
My room was beautiful and bright, with a lovely balcony. It is the cleanest room so far I have seen in India, extremely well designed, with a very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean bathroom. Each room has its own mini book collection.
Staff is warm, friendly and always happy to help. I was upgraded to suite room without even asking.
Oceanic’s restaurant Baa’s Kitchen serves the best breakfast and vegetarian meals. Absolutely delicious and healthy dishes prepared by chef Pankaj Pandya with local organic veggies and herbs. These meals are pure delight and many of these dishes I have not tasted anywhere else in Indian restaurants.
The spacious rooftop terrace surrounded with lush green trees is a pure delight to do Yoga, meditation or just simply chill under canopy of coconut and mango trees.
And for those who love reading and exploring there is an amazing collection of books on India, Ayurveda, Buddhism, Cinema, Travel, literature and Indian culture.
In short, highly recommended. You will not be disappointed with Oceanic’s genuine hospitality.
