Ana was an amazing hostess and so committed to making our stay a special treat. Loved the remote location especially after the hustle and bustle of Lisbon and Porto. The family home that was converted to a B & B 10 years ago was exceptionally comfortable and has so much character and ambience. Ana served an incredible breakfast. Everything so fresh, healthy and tasty. A little cold to use the pool but with all the wonderful hiking around we didn’t have time. Ana gave us great recommendations for hikes and restaurants and we took those to heart and were very grateful.

Everything. The owner/host lady welcomed us with the best smile and showed us around. The place is just amazing. Everything looks antique (because it is antique) but in a beautiful way. The breakfast is just great. The lady prepares a big meal, from salty to sweet. You could just eat this for the whole day. Room was super clean!! The location is in a small village where everybody was curious about us, but happy to talk, even if without english...and the village is in the middle of beautiful nature, close to a stunning national park. -bonus note for animal lovers: in the place there are several animals. The ones you will see more often are 2 nice dogs. When we went for a walk in the village, one of them came with us all the way, as it was showing around.

With Canicada Lake reachable in 13 miles, Quinta da Riba Má provides accommodations, a restaurant, pool with a view, a garden, and a bar.

The setting is spectacular and the host is amazing. Beautiful views, pool, large outdoor terrace. Breakfast was very generous. I recommend people order dinner as well. The food was excellent. Our room was lovely, with a large window to take in the view. No noise, only bird song. I highly recommend this property. Fantastic sights and great hiking recommendations from the host. A highlight of our trip.

Wonderful place to stay. The apartment was very spacious. It stayed cool in the heat. The outdoor seating was very comfortable. The facilities in the common areas, swimming pool, pool table, ping pong table, were great as well. The staff was great and extremely friendly, and the provided wine, cake, lemons and jam were all magnificent. All in all, it was a great place to wind down and also a good spot from which we could enjoy the National Park Peneda-Geres.
