This may have been the cleanest place I’ve ever been. Host was great. It is out of town and I am walking the Camino - but there is everything you need to make a simple dinner. And you can avoid the business of the city. Highly recommend!

The place is immaculate and beautiful. The owners are amazing. We had a nice conversation and learned a lot about the home. It dates back to another lifetime, and the remodeling honored everything they could preserve. It's very close to the center and Arzua is a very lively city. He took us in his car to where we had to be to continue our Walk. I recommend this place wholeheartedly. It felt sacred, and I absolutely loved it.

Beautiful guest house in gorgeous little village. Owners were really friendly and extremely helpful. Gardens surrounding the property were lovely to sit in fir a drink.

The country house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Fogar de Lecer was so beautiful and was one of my favourite stays in Spain. Juan was completely wonderful, was so generous and made the best breakfast (and coffee with milk)! It was such a memorable stay and I highly recommend it!

breakfast is served in a gorgeous courtyard at the back of hotel where a copious buffet is available. Staff are prompt, friendly and hotel is very quietly despite being right in the center of the village (the whole village is pedestrian and made of cobbled street - just glorious. parking is very near and 4 euros for 24h. Entering the hotel is like setting foot in a 16th century mansion, just beautiful

Very central location in a quiet place just one block back from seafront. We opted for a room with balcony and the little 19th century balcony was a delightful place to sit. Luxury bathroom.

A lovely, quiet hotel in the countryside. Lovely atmosphere and welcoming, helpful host. The room had character and charm. Continental breakfast was tasty and having the option of evening meals was ideal and added to the relaxation. Lovely gardens for strolling around. We did not use the outdoor pool due to the cool weather but it looked nice for a warm day. The overall experience was peaceful, relaxing and felt like being in a country home.
We loved this hotel. It was stylish yet retained its ancient charm. The staff were friendly, it was peaceful with a beautiful outlook over the countryside, large well appointed rooms and DELICIOUS dinner and breakfast including local delicacies. We would come back here in better weather to enjoy the pool, views and tranquility ❤️ Apparently the sunsets are magnificent too which we would like to witness on a more relaxing break. We are hiking the Camino this time so less time to linger but what a place to linger even for a short while x
I am absolutely in love with this place. Everything was great. Quiet and pleasant place in the countryside, 15 minutes drive from Bilbao. There is nature around, eco-trails, trekking and mountain bike routes. + There is a large free car park for guests - open and covered as you wish. + The administrator speaks English. + The room is small, but has everything you need - including a refrigerator and ac. + I liked the bathroom with a bathtub.
