It was the best hotel I booked in my 20 days trip in beautiful Burundi and Rwanda!
Its functional simplicity and positive vibes, nicely minimal with a wonderful internal garden and restaurant, lovable staff with a Burundian huge heart, superb cuisine (oh that chicken!) and of course with Valery, the owner: A new Burundian-Belgian Friend of mine, sociable, helpful with knowledge for the Country and good English. I felt really at home! Thank you so much for the experience, Val, I hope to come again in your little oasis!
A comment also for Burundi: I loved it, it's a safe Country everywhere, the drummers are FANTASTIC don't miss them!, places, forests, parks are unique and safe, food is ok and clean, people are hospitable, sweet and polite but please ...don't walk alone at night. Take one of all these cheap safe taxis, always ! :)

This is the place to stay in Bujumbura - and there’s only a small number of rooms so book in advance if you can! The service is outstanding, the restaurant is cozy with lovely decor, the rooms are huge with big balcony areas (at least mine was). It’s totally worth it to stay here!

The pool, room location on the lake, the glorious breakfast, dinner, bar service. Including being able to go from morning swim directly to breakfast (also lakeside). The shop. The drum and dance performance. Staff delightful and accommodating. Room spaciousness and decor, bathroom efficient design. Balcony and its lakeside view. The synchronicity that colleagues happened to be staying there as well resulting in productive meetings, exchanges and planning.

NOTHING. Absolutely the worst property we have stayed at. Charging USD 85 per night for the most horrible room. no cleanliness. no kettle in the room (even though it's advertised on Booking.com). the room is absolutely horrible. loud gym music throughout the day. we must have stayed in close to 2000 hotels in the past decade, this definitely is the worst of them all. 0 value for money. area around the hotel feels really unsafe. they have advertised "private beach access" - no, they just offer to send you to a paid beach club elsewhere. this hotel is a dilapidated mess. PLEASE STAY AWAY at all costs. The only slight saving grace was the nice and cordial staff - but i feel bad for them for having to work in this absolutely third class hotel.
shame also on booking.com for falsely advertising things and facilities about the hotel without even verifying.
