Tradewinds Paradise Villas is located on the beachfront in San Pedro, a 5-minute walk from San Pedro Beach. There's a year-round outdoor pool and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking. Central location, just a few steps from “downtown”. (No need for a golf cart, only if you want to go to Secret Beach) As soon as you stepped on the premises, it felt like a small slice of paradise. It is really well kept and clean. Also the apartments are huge and clean. They don’t have the modern/clean aesthetic but feel really homey. And let me tell you about the staff: They really care and help out with anything they can. They are super fast with replying and flexible. I was able to be put on to an earlier flight to the island and they re-organized a taxi and check in for me 1 hour early in the matter of minutes. I really enjoyed my stay. If you don’t want the typical resort life but more of a independent vibe, this is a great place to be.

Located in Caye Caulker, Sea Dreams Hotel has free bikes, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel features family rooms. Great location and breakfast. Staff were so helpful and friendly. It was so nice to have use of bikes, canoes and the paddle boards. We also enjoyed the bar at night.

Located in the San Pedro town district of San Pedro, Belize Budget Suites is 1.5 miles from San Pedro Beach. The property offers bike rental and features a garden and grill. I would love to stay here again! The location was great - the hotel is on a beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from two public beach access points. It is also walking distance to restaurants, fruit stands, and groceries. The suite was creatively decorated, and the cleanliness and comfort were exceptional. We cooked breakfast in the suite each day and then set out for adventures. The staff were welcoming and helped us arrange a golf cart (delivered to the hotel) at a great rate. The guests next door were very loud (despite being asked to be quiet), so Lucinda and Jose helped us move to a different room that was quieter. Both rooms we stayed in were impeccably decorated, comfortable and clean. The staff are truly wonderful and really helped to make our stay comfortable and fun. Highly recommend!

Located in San Pedro, 0.9 mi from downtown and located on the beautiful Boca del Rio Beachfront, Hotel Del Rio provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Nice place just by the coast, comfortably outside of the sometimes manic golf cart dreadlock of the town center. The walk on the beach side to dead center is about 15ish minutes, 10ish to the first restaurants. Has a good chilling area outside with a palapa, chairs and hammocks. Thw staff is lovely and helped us with snorkeling tours and golf cart rental. The room was roomy with two beds and a desk + a minifridge. There are good breakfast options a few blocks walk toward the town and a nice coffee stand within premises which opens a bit later in the morning for people who don't usually wake up at 6am like us.The beach bar outside is far enough away that there is no sound pollution from there coming to the rooms (at least to the Casa Blanca building where we were). Decent internet for an island location: 26.90MB/s down, 25.17MB/s up, with 44ms latency.

Located in San Ignacio, a 5-minute walk from Cahal Pech, Falling Leaves Lodge has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This property is an oasis just a stone throw away from downtown San Ignacio. I was so taken with all the trees and plants and I love that they have benches to simply sit and enjoy nature. The shower was phenomenal, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C was superb. I liked that there’s was a little coffee maker complete with filter paper, ground coffee and powdered creamer and I made good use of it in the early morning when I needed to work remotely. Speaking of—the WiFi was excellent and I had no issues with any of the conference calls I had during my stay. Lastly, I’m very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. There was always someone around to ask for help or get a recommendation, without them being helicopter-y. If you need a nature retreat within easy reach of downtown (if you’re into walking) I wholeheartedly recommend this place! It’s especially perfect if you’re backpacking but want a nice, calm place to stay. The bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill and it’s a 5 minute walk.
