Located in Fortuna, 6.2 miles from La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Manoa Resort & Hot Springs provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The hotel was a "horizontal" complex in that all rooms were at ground level with just two rooms per building and the buildings are scattered throughout the property. As the rooms were on ground floor the view was limited, I guess because of privacy concerns by just stepping out the the door the the Arenal volcano is right in front of you, an amazing view! The breakfast was a well stocked buffet and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. For a less formal atmosphere we tried the excellent Sushi bar at the pool that is open til 10pm. (There is also a pizza place but we didn't try them). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours are available at the hotel and we took one to the volcano and another to jungle tour with suspension bridges. Both were good but we preferred the jungle tour. The thermal water hot pool was a great place to relax after hiking and sightseeing. If you have a car and feel a little adventurous the "Rio Celeste" in the Tenorio Volcano National Park is worth the trip. Its about 90mins from the hotel but be aware that the walking trail in the park is about 5 to 6 Km to take in all the viewing points and places can be uneven. To get to the waterfall there are perhaps 200 steps down (and then back up again!)

It has everything for the most comfortable stay! The view is fantastic, location is perfect, swimming pool is refreshing, rooms are very cozy, the staff is lovely, the breakfast is tasty

Located in Fortuna, 2.9 miles from La Fortuna Waterfall, Cabañas del Rio has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking and a garden. We loved our stay! For starters, the property has a decent size rainforest in their "backyard". We took advantage of that and saw a variety of birds including toucans, howler monkeys, various coloured frogs, a wide variety of plants and flowers. They also host a guided tour for free and we took full advantage of that. In addition, the staff always went out of the way to make us comfortable. The place is located about 20-30 mins from the various La Fortuna attractions, so we were able to cover a few of these every day. The wifi was of good quality. The hot water in the shower was good. Rooms are spacious and comes with a kitchen. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, cutlery etc. There was coffee, sugar, oil and salt available as a complement. There was also parking available for our car.

Located on the banks of River Baru, Hotel Villas Río Mar is also within a walking distance of 2953 feet from the Village of Dominical. It was set in a gorgeous setting. The restaurant was great and the staff was well trained and friendly .

Located in Uvita, 8.1 miles from Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary, Ballena Rey Hotel has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Small hotel for comfy staying. I like personal of this place, especially owner Gilberto🙌 He helped us in any questions- about some things to buy for convenient living at hotel, because it’s new one, about life in Uvita and people there) Apartments with a kitchen and living room in one space, bedroom and bathroom. One conditioner in the bedroom, sometimes at noon became hot) Big balcony, where I had practice yoga every day, fans at living room and balcony. We had all for long time living there and it’s grate) Swimming pool, where you can relax. Majestic sunrise and sunsets there, I woke up without an alarm clock to the sounds of birds singing at 5 am- it’s magical and amazing!)))

This tropical hotel is located next to Costa Rica's Arenal Volcano, 3.7 mi from La Fortuna. It offers a natural hot spring, outdoor adventure activities, a luxurious spa and scenic volcano views. Landscaping was excellent, pools are nicely done and breakfast was very good.

Centrally located in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca town center and just a 3-minute walk from Salsa Brava Beach, Hotel Indalo adults only features an extensive garden, sun terrace and free Wi-Fi. Everything was perfect, best apartment during my 2 weeks in Costa Rica. Very clean, great location, complimentary coffee, pool. Owner Gonzalo is very friendly and welcoming, I cannot recommend more🙂
