Natural setting and ambiance is very unique and incredible. The staff are very friendly and proactively make sure you get what you expect, including giving me suggestions about kitesurfing, yoga and transportation before my arrival. Food is the best I’ve had in Cape Verde and loved the peaceful and slow 3-course dinners.

The location in the heart of Mindelo near everything I wanted to see. The clean room with the giant bathroom. But most importantly, the team who were just amazing, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, Patricia would go out of her way to make your stay better, they put so much effort into the littlest details like when I asked if they do laundry, my clothes came back after two hours smelling like a meadow! When I had to leave the hotel very early in the morning they packed me a mini breakfast to eat while traveling..

Location is on the heart of Sao Vicente

Everyone who worked there was so kind. We loved the location and the outdoor spaces. Close to beach and to good restaurants as well as the live music.

We normally stay in hotels but when we saw this place we thought why not give it a try, we were not disappointed and would highly recommend it, it is extremely loud between 10pm and 12pm but you are warned before you book we slept very well. The breakfast is very good we were very satisfied, the staff are the best bit of all they are all friendly and are happy at their work, they can't do enough for you. Lastly Dory in the office is the biggest asset to this business she did so much for us while we stayed and always checked in with us to make sure we were happy with our booked trip's which she helped us with she helped us have the best holiday.

We loved the location, as we were able to do two excellent hikes. (One from the hotel, Boca de Figueiral to Cha de Padre Cima, which we highly recommend. We also hiked to the crater. ) The restaurant was wonderful, we enjoyed the. vegan offerings on several nights. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The staff were exceptional, answering every question and assisting with any requests. We highly recommend this hotel.

Daniel met me at the airport and took me to the spacious property, which is well equipped. he explained everything that I needed to know. Good location, with short walk to a square with restaurants/bars and shops, then a short walk to centre of town. In the other direction is a small modern supermarket (Sucata) with small cafe/bar attached. Just beyond that is a pleasant restaurant.

The family running the hotel were so wonderful- they were smiley and helpful, helping us to book taxis, giving us advice about hikes & transport. When accommodation at our next place didn't work out they happily allowed us to stay another 2 nights. The views over the mountains, tropical plants & coast are breathtaking, and the inner garden courtyard where the rooms face is full of banana & breadfruit trees as well as tropical flowers. The breakfast is big & varied day by day- the view from the breakfast roof terrace room is stunning. They gave us tinfoil to take the sandwiches we had made from breakfast on our hike with us.

The room was about perfect. It was clean, with nicely arranged furnishings. The rooms were nicely arranged around a small pool and courtyard area. The staff were friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The location was very nice, we ate at very good restaurants that were just minutes walk from the hotel. They packed a wonderful to go breakfast for our early morning flight. We would highly recommend The hotel Savana for your Sao Filipe stay.

It was our first accommodation on Cape Verde and even though it was a bit pricey compared to other options, I am happy we chose it for starters for the least possible cultural shock :) It is very modern, clean, organised with the most amazing breakfast buffet full of local and traditional goods. The choice of fresh juices was insane and i was falling asleep looking forward to the breakfast. And the coffee was very good too. The owner came to speak with us during our breakfast and explained us about the dishes we were having, which was a nice touch. The AC in the room was very helpful for transitioning into tropical climate and the thick curtains made it possible to sleep off the jet leg a bit longer in the morning. The staff spoke english and was very helpful with everything we needed like car hire.
