If it were possible to give an eleven, this would be the best rating for this lovely mountain inn. The hospitality that we experienced was exceptional. Our host Pavlina was warm & personable, and also as we discovered, an amazing chef. We arrived late after a long travel, tired & hungry. It seems our every need was anticipated and provided for with complete grace & charm. Pavlina served us a dinner of full of fresh ingredients and great flavors, & the little touches that you noticed on each plate revealed the soul of an artist. Pavlina served us a cheesecake of her own recipe that was so delicate & delicious, topped w/ freshly picked cherries from the garden, which is the best I've had. (Note: I grew up in lower Manhattan, perhaps the cheesecake capitol of the world.) The house itself is spacious and embodies a sense of rustic charm and luxury, and is wonderfully situated in a stunning, pristine valley populated by oak trees and riven with wild flowers. There was a fresh branch of tiny wild roses left on or bathroom shelf, which is typifies the attention to detail that the family has invested in this project. This is a highly recommended place, certainly ranking among our top traveling experiences.

I'm always searching for places that offer more than just a bed, and the Elysia Boutique Hotel in Chania delivered a truly exceptional experience. From the warm welcome to the stunning details, my stay was nothing short of perfect. The hotel's design is a marvel, brilliantly blending wood and metal with a deep sense of history, all set in front of ancient ruins. This unique aesthetic, combined with out-of-this-world lighting, creates an atmosphere that is both luxurious and deeply evocative. The bedding was supremely comfortable, ensuring restful nights. The gourmet food was an artistic and delicious highlight, and the hotel's amazing location in Chania's old town meant instant access to the city's charm. Most importantly, the people treated us incredibly nicely, their genuine hospitality making the entire stay warm and welcoming. Great hotel, perfect location, great owner and staff. Right at the old Town next to all stores and restaurants. Clean and modern design rooms, hot water always at the shower, no complain at all. Thank you Mr. Tasos

We had an amazing stay here! Our host, Maria, was absolutely wonderful. So kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfasts were a highlight. Delivered in a cute picnic basket, filled with fresh baked goods and so many delicious options (more than we could finish most days!). The location couldn’t have been better. Located in a quiet area we had no issues with noise at night. Also, you don’t need to cab from the ferry as it’s a 10 min walk. The rooms themselves were spotless, modern, and looked exactly like the photos. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Between the perfect location, the fantastic food, and Maria’s hospitality, this was a great experience. We would definitely recommend it and would love to stay here again.

The room was a very good size, great bathroom and kitchen. We very much appreciated the balcony we had access to for breakfast in the morning. The breakfast basket we were given was plentiful with a lot of variety. It was completely filling and delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We wish we stayed for more than the one night. Parking was great and instructions for directions to find the parking and hotel were perfect. Location was great for walking around in the old town and going up to see the castle, as well as accessing the waterfront.

So happy we discovered this amazing new hotel! From the architecture to the location from which you can see Mount Olympus and the Aegean sea to the amazing owners and staff. My new favorite mountain spot to visit!

The staff were super kind and helpful. It was a last minute trip for me and my husband and they were so kind to help us get last minute reservations at restaurants and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The room was exactly as displayed in the pictures and brand new hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was fantastic and the service was excellent.
