We loved it! 12 out of 10. Freya Farm is what we hoped to find coming to Iceland, beautifully located in the countryside, amazing landscape, super clean and nicely decorated (new) rooms and welcoming hosts. / Easy to find with location info on booking.com. A part of the road is without tarmac, don't worry, it's very easy to drive. Don't get confused by "Steinsholt" in address, just follow coordinates (google maps). Not far off the Golden Circle, it took us about 20 min. from the Secret Lagoon. / There IS BREAKFAST available. / Our host Jon offered us a tour on the farm (gorge, waterfall, horses) and was kindly answering our many questions about Iceland. / This stay is a unique experience and we highly recommend it!

Unbeatable view and room design. Aside from that, it's the best balance between a full service hotel and the privacy of an Airbnb-like rental. The experience itself is very intimate and catered as there are a very limited number of rooms and guests at a time. The staff were very ready to help with absolutely anything at all. The honesty bar is also AWESOME for having some drinks without the fuss of going to a hotel bar - feels just like going to your kitchen to fix a drink at home.

Absolutely LOVED everything about this hotel. It was classy and modern, but didn't scream 'luxury' in your face. Super quiet, secluded and enwrapped in nature. Fantastic hot tub. Food, staff, vibe, music - everything was just perfect. We would come here to stay for a week to completely unwind. The hike to the waterfalls (ask the staff) was so worth it - so many waterfalls up the hill, one after another!
Location is truly far from everything, but it wasn't a problem for us. We enjoyed the road 52 in itself.

I loved my room! The views from the room were breathtaking: the mountains, the fjord, and the harbour. I had a spacious room with a large, comfy bed, making for an excellent sleep! The hotel sauna and hot tub on the deck overlooking the harbour provided relaxation after a long day, and were a welcome warm-up after a rainy day!

10 out of 10 this place. They charge you a premium price and unlike other hotels in Iceland you actually do get a PREMIUM experience. The room was designed to a standard which makes their nightly rates logical (unlike other hotels in Iceland). It was worth every cent in my eyes. Comfortable bed. Very nice bathtub. We had an amazing night and the tomahawk at their restaurant was sublime. You need to keep in mind that other places in Iceland will charge you same amount and you will NOT even remotely get your money's worth. That is not the case here.
