The property was so nice. A great location! I wish we could’ve stayed 2 days there. I think there are lots of interesting hikes thru forests. We only had time to see a nearby waterfall. We saw northern light from the outdoor hot tubs.

Situated in Gardur, Lighthouse-Inn offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a sun terrace and sea views. All units feature air conditioning and a satellite flat-screen TV. The hotel's location is magnificent! The staff was very helpful and warm. There is minimal light pollution in the area around the hotel, increasing the chances of viewing the Northern Lights. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and gave off a Finnish log cabin vibes. There is ample parking space. Breakfast was also good, with decent vegetarian/vegan options. The room did get very warm at night, and we lowered the thermostat/opened the windows for some relief.

This location is great for exploring the north part of Iceland, around Myvatn lake and part of east part of the island.
