Such a Great experience! We had a wonderful time in the desert. Everything was taken care of from arrival to departure. We drove with our own car but before driving through the desert we were helped to prepare the car for it. We enjoyed the special atmosphere on site. In the middle of the desert but so cozy. We did dune bashing and watched the sunset from a dune. A wonderful dinner was served to us and a cozy get-together with delicious tea, where we got to know the other guests and the owner, made the stay something very special. The next morning a very good breakfast was served on our own patio and we enjoyed the stunning sunrise.

If you are looking for a stay that perfectly balances traditional charm with modern comfort, Beit Alfateh is a stunning discovery. From the moment you walk through the grand fortress-style archway, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, but with all the luxuries of a boutique hotel.
Architecture & Atmosphere
The property is designed to resemble a historic Omani fort, complete with high mud-brick style walls, crenelated turrets, and heavy wooden doors adorned with brass studs. The courtyard is spacious and serene, paved with natural stone and framed by majestic mountains in the distance. The landscaping is beautiful, with yellow-flowering trees and palms creating dappled shade over the walkways—perfect for a quiet morning stroll.
The Rooms
The rooms are a highlight of the stay. They masterfully blend earthy, traditional aesthetics with modern needs:
• Design: The interior features textured walls and incredible live-edge wooden furniture. The headboards are massive, natural slabs of wood that act as art pieces.

This place is just fantastic. History, tradition, design, atmosphere, hospitality... And the knowledgeable team, who go out of their way to accommodate to your needs and make sure you have a fantastic stay. I wish I could give them 12 out of 10.
It's not just a place to stay. It's an entire experience.
I also highly recommend joining a tour with their team, as their offerings are very flexible, interesting and reasonably priced.
