Hotels in Paraguay

Staff was fabulous. Right across from a mall. Good tours. Safe area. Restaurant was careful about my gluten free dietary needs. Paraguay is pretty easy to be gluten free in. You can often say "gluten free" in restaurants or you can say "sin gluten," meaning "without gluten."

Very nice breakfast. Laura went out of her way to be helpful in any way possible.

This was a welcome stay whilst visiting Asunción.it’s a 4-star though I would offer 5 star plus for the architecture and attention to detail, the consistency of the food, large rooms, and not least the service. The place is well air-conditioned during the very hot January days ( hot till end of Feb). It’s location is on a quiet side street: truly an oasis. It’s close to a very popular cafe (Acá) that also offers some history. There are other small boutiques close by and shopping del Sol is around 10 mins walk away. Front desk was pleasant and all restaurant staff attentive. The breakfast is served on a tray and is complete: you can add eggs any style. They even made me a frappe coffee on request. The rooms are large and we tried two rooms over 3 nights, first being around 40 sq.meters. On the last night we tried the suite that is twice as large. We felt the standard was good enough and were a little drowned in the suite. This offers a bath and shower. Wandering around the hotel I felt a sense of comfort and appreciated all the architectonics. The pool offered some respite even though biting bugs are ever present. There are bug repellent sprays left on every table so I wasn’t dissuaded from spending some moments there. There are many sitting rooms you can find some serenity and absorb the extraordinary ambiance of this place. The Ophelia restaurant was wonderful. We ate at least once a day there. The soup ( Sirubi/fish) was full flavoured and well spiced. There is a good choice of dishes to suit almost all tastes and the room service was prompt. Congratulations to all who worked hard to make this one of the best hotel experiences in all my travels ! I will be recommending Factoria to friends. The owner is from Argentina and has a similar style in a northern Argentinian province. Perhaps another time .. thank-you :)

La Casona Hotel Boutique exceeded every expectation I had. Tucked away in the city yet incredibly peaceful, it truly felt like an oasis. The atmosphere was calm and serene, with beautiful spaces to rest — even hammocks to lounge in — and a sense of hospitality that is increasingly rare to find. The kindness of the staff is something I can’t emphasize enough. One day, when I wasn’t feeling well, they called to check on me and brought tereré to my room — just out of pure care. Every interaction felt genuine and generous. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs throughout the stay. For example, when I asked if they had any plant-based milk for breakfast, they didn’t have any that day — but by the next morning, they had gone out and bought some especially for me. That kind of attention to detail and thoughtfulness is what sets this place apart. Breakfasts were delicious — especially the chipas, which became a morning highlight. The business center is relatively small but fully functional, and it met all our work-related needs perfectly. La Casona is the perfect combination of charm, comfort, and care. Whether you’re traveling for business or rest, this is the kind of place that makes you feel at home. I can’t wait to come back.
