The 3-star Superior La Grotta Hotel is set in San Marino’s centre, a few metres from the main square Piazza della Libertà. The staff were wonderful and the facility was very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. It’s a hike up the hill but worth it. Mostly quiet location. Sometimes hear people walking by but not loud

Lovely and charming hotel, nice breakfast, bar just downstairs. Dog friendly and have your own en suite. Parking outside is free most days, but one day a week on market day you'd need to park elsewhere. Some pubs in the area too. Got a 20% discount for the Gondola from the hotel too, which is a 5 minute walk away and takes you straight to the capital.

As a solo traveller, Donatella's kindness and all our interactions during breakfast and whenever I would pop in during the day made me feel very welcome and sort of looked after, it was quite nice. The place was, of course, clean and perfectly located, especially if you're going for the Giornate Medioevali: near the first tower, but far enough from the night festivities at Cava dei Balestrieri to be peaceful.

It was easy to find the hotel. Staff was helpful and could speak good English. I really enjoyed my stay there, definitely will stay again.

Hotel Rosa is just 200 metres from Guaita Tower and has views across this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi and have satellite TV. Beautiful, very clean hotel in a beautiful location. Close to the castle, restaurants and shopping. Onsite parking. Great breakfast. Owner and staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks Paolo!
