Colleagues of mine stayed at a larger chain hotel, and I was so happy that I chose to stay at the Holland Lodge. It felt as though I experienced more of the city and culture with the people here.

Located 500 metres from the historic centre and a 20-minute walk from the financial and commercial area, Eco Torarica features an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a restaurant in Paramaribo. Breakfast was fantastic. Choices to choose from. Fruits and cakes were a plus. Room was large and comfortable. Location was quite good and walking to the Park and surrounding area felt safe.

The hotel has a very cozy and comfortable feel. The rooms are very comfortable - my room had a small but extremely comfortable single bed, good shower, nice balcony overlooking the street, and a good desk to get work done during the days. Internet was also more than fast enough to let me attend video calls and meetings and to get work done. The highlight was the staff - every worker I met was exceptionally kind, especially Rinesh who went above and beyond to make my stay amazing on several occasions. I only had the breakfast once but it was very good, highlighted by great jams, local juices and eggs!

I love this place! The location is perfect. In the middle of nature with the park/ jungle on one side and the river on the other side. Staff is super helpful and friendly and it’s easy to get around by taxi. It’s beautifully renovated and the food is amazing. Especially the traditional Surinamese dishes. What a great place. I’m returning very soon for sure!
