My stay in Hotel Kriola surpassed all my expectations. Kriola is a small, familiar hotel facing Ana Chavez bay. If you are looking for a comfortable, well located place, look no further. The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfy. The room had AC, a small fridge and an amazing bathroom. Breakfast is diverse and buffet style. The hotel is extremely clean and located next to the biggest supermarket in all São Tomé island. You'll be located within 10mins walk to all the major interest points (the Museum, Papa Figos restaurant, city centre, Diogo Vaz chocolate showroom, etc...). The swimming pool was amazing to relax in the afternoon. The staff is amazing and will go above and beyond to assist you. Dinner here was one of the best meals of my holiday (I was in Sao Tomé for 9 days so it says a lot). When we arrived at São Tome, we stayed 2 nights in Pestana and I wished I had stayed in Kriola instead because it was, by far, the best hotel in the whole island. I travelled with a 6 year old.

The hotel's owner is really nice and helpful with everything - just ask! Perfect location downtown in walking distance to supermarkets, café, restaurants, a car rental and tour agency. I was even able to check out very late at no cost as my flight had originally been delayed to nighttime.

Despite not expecting to be picked up I was collected from the airport which was great. I also got to meet lots of the locals too who are so friendly, no tourist trap here, just great people and thanks to Maria for all her help as my Portuguese is limited to hello and thank you!

Roca Santo Antonio Ecolodge is a bed and breakfast set 15 km from São Tomé. With an outdoor swimming pool, the property also features barbecue facilities. There is a restaurant. Great staff, great breakfast, lovelly place to stay! Only nice words towards the place, the crew, conditions!!

Emoyeni Gardens provides beachfront accommodation in São Tomé. This property also boasts a restaurant and a year-round outdoor pool. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.... Emoyeni Gardens a hotel with modern facilities you wish to have whilst on vacation on an island plus its lovely garden. I cannot recommend this hotel enough as it is located in a strategic location which means, it’s an easy access to the city centre if you like walking, beach, nearby restaurants esp (Papa Figo) which seem to be the most popular restaurant for all the tourist who were on our flight. A family run business which means Alex, her mum and the other staff go an extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Lastly, I enjoyed the breakfast and was made to checkout later than usual as I had a late flight to catch (Tap Portugal).

The employees always smiling and very polite with good recommendations. We felt really welcomed! The swimming pool is beautiful and the breakfast was also very good. Overall we had an amazing experience, also received an upgrade as we were on our honey moon.
