The staff were amazing! Edwin and his team were super nice! Mwalimu & Edina are always smiling, I really felt at home. I would suggest the onion rings with cheese samosas. They have really good vegetarian options. The pool and beach are literally 3 steps from the room.

Bahati Sunset Bungalows Michamvi has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Michamvi. Offering a bar, the property is located within a few steps of Michamvi Kae Beach. This was our favorite hotel during our trip to Zanzibar (we stayed in four different places around the island). The resort is set right on the sand, with comfortable rooms equipped with a small fridge. The pool is lovely, and the staff are kind and attentive. We loved the peaceful beach, perfect for walks at low tide and the unforgettable sunsets every evening. In the evenings, we also enjoyed the warm atmosphere of the neighboring bar with its cozy fire and vibe. Excellent value for money overall! Absolutely recommend!

Located in Nungwi and with Nungwi Beach reachable within a few steps, Dhow Beach Boutique Hotel has a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a private beach area. The host and staff were very hospitable and warm. Upon learning our love for the Turkish tea, owner Ersoy was kind enough to get us Turkish tea during our stay. Location is good with nice beach in front. Good place to relax! Airport transfer was arranged by Hotel at a very short notice. Strongly recommended.

Babalao Bungalows has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Nungwi. Breakfast was very good, every Day you get something else! Beach is only few minutes to walk. Highly recommended!

Located in Matemwe, a few steps from Matemwe Beach, HEBE Bungalows Lodge has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. We love this place. Firstly, Matemwe is a relatively quiet spot and the lodge opens up to the beach. You can spend all day just watching life happen or go for a swim/snorkel at high tide or get on a boat to snorkel further out beyond the reef. Secondly the space is comfortable and clean. The staff and the owner are also fantastic…friendly and attentive. The buffet breakfast is great too.

Located in Nungwi, a 5-minute walk from Nungwi Beach, Oasis Blu Beach Resort-Adults Only has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness center and a garden. We had a wonderful stay at Oasis Blu Beach Resort! Despite some previous reviews mentioning bugs, we didn’t encounter any issues at all—everything was clean and comfortable. The resort is located a bit away from the busy center of Nungwi, which we actually loved. It costs around $25 for a round-trip taxi to the town, but being slightly removed means you get to enjoy a peaceful, almost private stretch of beach with breathtaking views. The hotel itself is quite small—fewer than 20 rooms—which makes it feel intimate and personal. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the staff are truly exceptional. Every single person went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and well cared for. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic escape with outstanding hospitality, this place is a hidden gem!
